One of a kind cottage on Lion Lane within the Congregational Summer Assembly (CSA) with lake views and short walk to the Crystal beach, community building, ball field, tennis courts and meeting house. The Lake Michigan beach is a half mile walk or drive through the woods on Edwards Avenue. The space This cottage is one of the early Sears Catalog cottages built on the Congregational Summer Assembly in the 1920's. It was designed for basic living functions for summer family gatherings, outdoor life or quiet repose. A small kitchen, dining room that sits 6-8, windows everywhere including hung between rooms as the house has been added on to. The living room has wicker furniture and a big couch, a working fireplace and windows that open to the woods. Two bedrooms -the master with a queen bed and the bunk room - 3 bunk size beds are accessed from the living room. Then a sleeping porch with a single bed and access to the deck and the bathroom. A sleeping loft with 2 twin beds is above the bathroom - best for little people. Another bathroom with washer and dryer is downstairs. A deck provides additional living space and beautiful views of Crystal Lake. Guest access You may access all of the property. Other things to note -The Congregational Summer Assembly (CSA) began in the early 1900's. It is a cottage owner association with a purpose of recreation, regeneration. renewal of and creation of friendship, community generosity...classes, educational programs, theater, music, ball games, sports, appreciation and care for the ecology of this area. Activities are posted in advance each Sunday by 4pm on the porch of the Assembly Building and on their web site - Summer Assembly . org Office hours are Monday-Friday 9am - 4:pm, Saturdays from 9:00 am to 12 pm. During the CSA season - June 20-August 20 the Assembly requires Saturday to Saturday rental. - All guests need to be preregister before arrival - we send out a form by email after you make your reservation for you to fill out and send into the office. - On Monday of your week's visit you are responsible to pay a car sticker fee of $25 per car and $40 ticket for each individual over 3 yrs.
