Relax & enjoy our Tiny Tin House, located in Clallam Bay, along the Clallam River, just off the Strait of Juan De Fuca. Light & bright 450 sq ft 1 bed room cabin, w/ kitchenette, full bath, washer/dryer & current modern decor. Enjoy eagle sightings, river otters & perhaps jumping salmon from our back deck.Explore many area beaches, lakes, seasonal fishing, & hiking, including Cape Flattery, the Northwestern most point of the contiguous US. Sleeps 4 with 1 bed rm,sofa bed and pull out chair bed. The space 2023 UPDATE: our remodel is complete with the addition of a private bedroom with double sized bed. There is no longer front door access to our home-please enter our home from the back deck, and please be mindful of all reflectors and reflector sticks. Note: the photo reflects the exterior of our home being natural wood, this was taken in the nearly complete exterior remodel before we painted the home to seal the natural the wood-it is now white on the exterior and that is the view you see from the street. We will update the exterior photo as soon as we can. Feel free to utilize anything in our cabin, as well as the fire pit, however please do be mindful of area burn bans which are very common during the summertime. There is a small table and two chairs to enjoy the water/nature view. The cabin is 1 bedroom approx 400 sq ft, and we have maximized the space nicely! Guests do love the full size bathroom and nice hot showers! The private room has a double size bed, and the other 2 beds are similar to sleeping on a camper mattress, or sleeper sofas, they are pullouts and since our space is so small it is the best way to utilize our space for multi purpose. If you are not familiar with how these sleep they don’t sleep like a regular bed mattress, if back issues are problematic for you our sleeper sofa bed set up might not be the best for you. We have stocked our home full of everything you would need during your stay, except food! We do however leave microwave popcorn, and top ramen/cup of noodles for guests. You will find a bottle of wine waiting for you upon your arrival, unless you prefer to not have it, then please let us know. There is microwave popcorn to enjoy with the movies you might watch! We have lots of games and puzzles and movies to occupy your time, as well as ROKU and Wi-Fi Outside you will enjoy a spacious deck facing the water with a covered space, enjoy your coffee out there! There is no river access from our property, please do not utilize the bank on our property to get closer to the water, there are no stairs, just shrubs and greenery, and is not set up as an access point to the water. The area itself provides several trail heads and beach access points. Please be aware of all areas with reflectors and reflector sticks, please do not access these areas, or try to bypass these areas-we have flagged them for your ultimate safety Our tiny home is not suitable for children or pets as we sit right along the visit roadway and along a waterway. Please read throughly for road noise information: Our cabin is along HWY 112, which runs through town up into neah bay, traffic can be consistent depending on day and time of day. You will hear a fair amount of traffic noise as well from cars, big truck/boats and logging trucks also depending on the time you are traveling, we have found that the weekends seem to be a but lighter with the traffic noise, however you will still hear the noise from the bedroom, and living area. We don’t really notice but it doesn’t bother us. Our cabin does sit back a bit on the property, and is shielded by shrubbery in the front, but still sits on a heavily traveled roadway. Spring and summer will see an increase in traffic due to fishing season, through September. We do have disposable ear plugs and a fan on-site for your use. The lamp in the bedroom is battery operated-please turn it off when not in use. The light switch only controls the light and the outlet is usable with only the light switch on. Our remodel has a couple more phases left and electrical connection to outlet without the light switch on is next! Guest access Enjoy our entire cabin, including washer and dryer while you stay. There are non-perishables in the pantry that you are welcome to use, lots of spices, coffee, tea, cooking oils etc. We offer 2 refrigerators, 1 dorm size inside and a mid-size refrigerator outside for extended stays. Other things to note Please read thoroughly for road noise info: Our cabin is along HWY 112, which runs through town up into neah bay, traffic can be consistent depending on day and time of day. When traveling up HWY 112, please note it is a windy road that narrows in places, with dips and turns along the way and is heavily traveled with large trucks, rvs, and logging trucks With the road being heavily traveled and the area area that can be very dark during the winter months, we ask that you please follow our special arrival notes below Special arrival notes: Daytime arrival: we do recommend backing into our driveway, it will make leaving easier as you pull into traffic, it is a heavily traveled roadway. You will be able to see where there driveway ends, as it is not far from the yard/bank edge to the water. After dark arrival: please do not back in the driveway, pull straight in, our driveway is long, it does have a log and reflectors but it isn't too far from the yard/bank edge to the water. There are motion sensor lights in our driveway and on our home as well as solar lights around the deck area. There are solar path lights pointing at the deck stairs please be cautious when using the stairs.
