This hideaway is near spectacular sites and beaches such as the Tule Elk Reserve and Abbotts Lagoon. Just a 3-5 minute walk to Chicken Ranch Beach, Kayaking, and a short drive to the finest restaurants in the region. Our warm king-sized master bedroom and queen-sized guest bed in the library welcome you back from the day's excursions whether it hiking, biking, yoga, or simply doing nothing. The space The Writer's Den has two large light-filled rooms with a full garden view with a glimpse of Tomales Bay from the courtyard. The soft natural light during the day transitions into a cozy warm place to land at the end of a day of exploration. Comfortable king-size bed with Tuft and Needle memory foam mattress and organic linens. High ceilings ample room and soft surfaces for resting. Private deck with outdoor seating. The guest house has a few essential kitchen amenities such as a refrigerator, microwave, cooktop, toaster, pots, and dishes for light meal prep. Details are listed in amenities. Please Note that there is no kitchen sink in the guest house. The Writer’s Den has a wood stove that the Fire Marshall allows us to use when raining or on very high-humidity days. The guest house has a three-person maximum. I welcome well-behaved dogs and children for guests who follow the pet and child policies. The guest house is not equipped with child-proofed safety features. Guest access Access: Park anywhere near the door to the right of the garage doors. This is the closest entry to your unit. Come through the door which has a bell that will sound as you open the door. Come down the breezeway to the main courtyard. The Writer's Den is to the immediate right. You will see three glass doors. The key works on each door that has a lock. To get the Key... A lockbox is tethered to the hose bib to the right of the glass door entrance. Please return the key upon leaving the unit and scramble the code on the lockbox. Guests have access to the entirety of the guest house and guest house deck, which includes two large rooms, the full bath, and the porch area. So that we don't compromise the privacy of each other I ask that people not wander the property. Your guest house has a private entrance. There are plenty of gorgeous walks to take in the morning. My favorites are to spill down the hill to Chicken Ranch Beach or walk up the hill and take the first left onto the dirt road Woodhaven Rd. which will bring you down to Sir Francis Drake and the far end of Chicken Ranch Beach.
