A cute 3 bedroom house situated at the very base of the Berkeley Hills, just a couple blocks from the "Gourmet Ghetto", Solano Avenue, Live Oak Park and the Berkeley Rose Garden. Cool trivia: One of the members of the band Creedence Clearwater Revival (CCR) used to own and live in this house. Two floors, 1450 sq feet Two bathrooms, one with bathtub/shower (upstairs), one with shower (downstairs) Spacious living room with stone gas fireplace. Master bedroom with vaulted ceilings with exposed wood beams and its own stone gas fireplace. Cal King sized bed. One bedroom with a twin (single) bed. This is our daughter's room. Guest room/play room/TV den - we have a very comfortable queen size inflatable mattress for his room, and/or one person can sleep on the sofa, which is surprisingly comfortable. The sofa is not a pull out, however. TV is equipped with Apple TV and sound bar. Cable high speed internet and wifi (Sonic). Dining room with 4 chairs plus one extra in the upstairs room and folding chairs that can be brought in from outside. Dining room table sits for, or six if you add the leaf Fully equipped kitchen w/ Bosch dishwasher, Bosch fridge, Wolf stove. You are welcome to use any of food currently in the kitchen. Laundry room with stackable LG washer and dryer and industrial sink. Lovely, recently renovated backyard with two spacious decks, table, chairs and umbrella for outdoor meals, rooftop vegetable garden and HOT TUB! The house can comfortably sleep up to five (if two share the Cal-king bed, two share the full/queen inflatable mattress or one sleeps there and one on the sofa next to it) plus one more on a single bed. If you need to accommodate another individual or couple there is an additional unit attached to the home that we also rent out. See our other listing to view photos of that unit. There's a soundproofed double wall between the house and that unit, so neither side is usually aware of the other. Our cleaning person will come just before you arrive so the house will be in great shape for you. 5 minute walk to amazing cafés restaurants and groceries stores. 10-15 minute walk from Central and North Berkeley BART stations. 10-15 minute walk to the northwest corner of UC Berkeley Campus. Bus stop is one block from the house, direct bus to downtown Berkeley/UC Berkeley campus. (about a 5 minute ride depending on stops) No pets are allowed. That’s it! Our friends all call our house the Hobbit Castle. It is very cozy and comfortable. We look forward to hearing from you!
