Lovely 1880 Farmhouse in Upper Jay, close to high peaks hiking, Keene Valley, Lake Placid & 10 min to Whiteface. Entire house with Cook's Kitchen with 1 bedroom king suite downstairs, guest bedroom and second full bath upstairs. Coffees, teas, cooking and baking supplies all on hand. Unobstructed views of Ebenezer Mountain in back of house. Owner owned, not an airbnb franchise-owners are looking for quiet and considerate guests. We work hard for our 5 star reviews! The space We love this house and hope you do too! Built in circa 1880-Farmhouse with updated kitchen, hardwood floors, upstairs has original lathe & plaster walls. Owners are artist & architect. Shawn is an Adirondack Artist and uses the old dining room space in the main house for an art studio. It is cleaned up for guests and the large work table can be used for creating, laying out your hiking maps to plan your day or as a desk/office area. Internet service is high speed with wifi in house and streaming for movies. We have PBS, HULU, STARS, PRIME and a great selection of purchased movies and tv series in our Youtube Library. Cell phone service is excellent with Verizon.(Newer tower Verizon nearby). Other services like At&T do not have good service in the area. There is no landline phone in the house. We take great care to thoroughly clean the house in between guests. We also launder all the bedding, including blankets, duvet covers, throw blankets on couch, bath mat and all towels. Please note there is no outdoor campfire area (we get many requests after bookings). Outdoor campfires are fun but create wildfire risks. We are looking for mature and quiet guests that will take good care of our home!
