Great for families, our cozy, kid-friendly home is a 1925 Milwaukee bungalow with lots of charm in the highly walkable Riverwest neighborhood. 4 blocks from the Milwaukee River, 15 minutes from the airport, 6 minutes from downtown. Parks, coffee shops, cafes, restaurants and neighborhood microbreweries, and 3 bus lines are a short walk away. Bike sharing stations are close, too. Sip a local brew in the backyard garden, or have a cup of coffee by a fire in the wood-burning stove, or take a sauna. The space Thank you for visiting! Enjoy our little bungalow all to yourselves. Our family home is open to you, and we hope you will love it as much as we do and feel like friends borrowing it while we are away. Since it is lived in most of the year, it truly has everything you should need to enjoy a visit to Milwaukee. Guest access Guests are welcome to use all of our home including a full kitchen, fenced backyard, wood burning stove, finished basement and sauna. Free street parking is available and use of the garage is available for longer stays. Other things to note Riverwest is an eclectic, diverse, vibrant area of Milwaukee (just north of downtown) full of families, artists, and hipsters alike! Hardwood floors throughout the house, new windows that allow for plenty of natural light. Snacks, coffee /tea. We supply a Bonavita coffee pot. Lots of coffee and a grinder for delicious fresh coffee, as well as a stocked pantry in the kitchen. Help yourselves! The house is a short bike or drive to Lake Michigan, only 17 minutes from Milwaukee International Airport, and the Lake Express Ferry. We also are 6 minutes to downtown, Milwaukee Art Museum and UW-Milwaukee. We have a fenced in backyard great for kids, a Weber grill, and an outdoor patio to hang out with your loved ones. We also have a small front porch with loveseat. Watch the neighborhood walk by. Have yourself a cup of coffee outside while enjoying the sunshine on your face and watching the birds! There is also a small park with a green space and playground directly 2.5 blocks south of our house if you want to take a walk in the morning or play with the kids in the afternoon. We try to provide all amenities you need for a carefree and relaxing stay. Our home is your home! Other things to note If you have small children or babies, we offer a pack and play and booster seat. We also can provide a toys and games. Please let us know before your stay so we can have those things ready for you! Also with the challenges of Covid-19, we have instilled extra cleaning measures to ensure that our home is disinfected and cleaned thoroughly with the proper cleaning supplies that rid of any trace of the virus.
