Esta es la Vida (“This is the Life!”) is a brand new five bedroom ocean front luxury villa. Cathedral ceilings and accordion glass doors blur the lines between your indoor and outdoor space. The white sand area in front of the house allows you to enjoy a game of volleyball or cornhole. Kayaks and paddle boards are provided for our guests and it's an easy paddle out to enjoy the reef. Watch while you are paddling as you might spot a spotted Eagle Ray or a pod of dolphins joining you. The space The house is a 4100+ square foot luxury home built on a ¾ acre lot which offers plenty of space and privacy. The white sand private area in front of the house allows you to enjoy a game of volleyball or cornhole. In front of you is Palmetto Bay and you see the waves breaking against the Meso-American reef - the largest barrier reef in the Western Hemisphere about 300 yards from shore. A highlight of the house is the large infinity edge pool. The pool is an amazing spot to cool off with magnificent sunsets as a backdrop. The 534 square foot size and the comfortable tanning shelf of this pool make it a very unique aspect of the house. From your morning coffee on the deck to floating in the infinity pool at sunset, you will not want to leave. There is ample furniture including lounge chairs, a hammock, outdoor daybeds and sofas, to a large, shaded table for all your group to relax, sun, dine, play games, or read. The outdoor kitchen on the spacious main deck creates the perfect opportunity to grill up the catch of the day or easily host a waterfront get-together with friends and family. Living Area The vaulted combination great room/dining room is spacious with 12 ft wide accordion doors that open onto a sprawling deck with stunning views. A large L-shaped couch and dining table that seats 10 adds to the functionality of this room. LED lights highlight the trellised ceiling while the ceiling fans help keep you cool. There is central A/C in this area for your comfort. There is also a large Smart TV (Netflix, Amazon) and a Bluesound Hi-Fi soundbar to enjoy a theater type experience, or you can use it for enjoying music. The outdoor dining table also seats 10 and is conveniently located right outside the accordion doors, and next to the outdoor kitchen. A large 2 piece bathroom is located just outside the main living area for the convenience of guests over for dinner or a swim in the pool. Chefs Kitchen/Outdoor Kitchen The Chef's Kitchen The chef's kitchen is large with unique granite counter tops and wood cabinets. The gas cooktop is on a substantial island with seating for four and has a beverage center and dishwasher. There is a large fridge, wall oven, and microwave. All appliances are stainless steel. The kitchen has been meticulously outfitted with high quality knives, cookware, glassware, dishes, and silverware. The fridge has a built in icemaker and water dispenser to ensure that you will always have cold drinks. We know that you will be impressed with all aspects of the kitchen but living the luxury life may mean that you desire more play time and less cooking and cleaning up time. We can assist you with recommendations for a cook that will come and prepare meals in the home. The outdoor kitchen is conveniently located right outside the accordion doors of the chef's kitchen and has a large Weber grill with a side burner so you can be outside with all your guests while making dinner. There is also a lockable beverage center outdoors to keep your drinks close at hand. The portable icemaker and blender can be brought outside, to keep the margaritas and daiquiris flowing to the guests! Master Bedroom Main Floor The main floor master bedroom has an amazing view of the ocean through the 10’ wide accordion doors. The king bed is situated so that so that when you awaken, you are looking right out towards the ocean. There is an ensuite with dual sinks and marble counter tops and a rejuvenating rainfall shower and private toilet room. A Smart TV on an adjustable mount is there in case you want to relax and watch a movie before bed. The USB outlets beside the bed (and throughout the house) are convenient to charge your devices before heading out on your adventures the next day. There is also a daybed right outside the bedroom where you can enjoy your coffee in the morning while gazing at the gorgeous view. Master Bedroom Second Floor The second floor master bedroom is identical to the main floor master. The same king bed, and 10’ wide accordion doors, Smart TV and ensuite. But this might still be the preferred option as there is a vaulted ceiling with LED lights highlighting the wood ceiling similar to the great room downstairs. The accordion doors open to a 438 square ft balcony shared with the bedroom next door. The balcony has glass railings for safety but it allows a seamless view of the ocean. The shared balcony has loungers, sofas, chairs, and a daybed. It's a perfect location for an at-home massage! Second Floor Queen Bedroom The second floor queen waterfront bedroom has double doors that open to the shared balcony with the second floor master so you can lie in bed and enjoy the view. A large walk-in closet has lots of shelf space for clothes and shoes. On the shared balcony is a day bed, 2 love seats, 2 loungers, and other additional seating. Enjoy reading a book, or taking some private time away from the other guests with an unobstructed view of the ocean through the glass railing system. Second Floor Two Twin Bedroom The second floor two twin room would be great for the younger guests. There is a desk in case they have homework, a walk-in closet, and the same vaulted wood ceiling as in the second floor master. There is also a private balcony with glass railings and an ocean view for these special guests. If the guests are quite young, the door to the balcony (and all the deck doors) come with keyed locks internally and externally that ensure that the door will be opened only when you wish. Main floor Queen Bedroom The main floor back bedroom/playroom has a queen size Murphy bed. It allows more space for the kids during the day when the bed is tucked out of the way. This area is for the kids to spread out and play board games, or play with their devices while the parents are enjoying adult time in the great room. Second Floor Shared Bathroom The second floor shared bathroom, is luxury! It has a jacuzzi tub, dual sinks, a private toilet room and a huge glass shower. Enjoy a nice jacuzzi under the chandelier after a busy day, while enjoying the jungle views through the large windows. Please note that the home is equipped with solar panels, and batteries. There are frequent power outages on the Island, and the critical load will power appliances, fans and outlets to ensure your comfort but will not feed every power requirement in the house to ensure that the power is maintained throughout the majority of power outages. The solar power generation also offsets the majority of power usage and should keep normal usage to much less than 40KW per day. Also for your comfort, we have installed a water filtration system that works throughout the home so is safe to drink from all interior taps. Water is a precious commodity in Roatan, and conservation is appreciated during your visit! Guest access Parking is free and there is amble parking at the entrance of the villa. The Cove restaurant, dive shop, community pool, and dock with palapa are a few steps away from the villa. There are also numerous walking trails for your enjoyment of the local birds, flora, and fauna. Another dining option is the Roatan Brewing Company located just outside the gates to Palmetto Bay Resort. They also hold many special events like cornhole tournaments, themed special dining, and the Local Artisan's Market. Other nearby entertainment includes visiting the sloths at Manawakie Eco Park or taking a tour at the Blue Harbor Tropical Arboretum. While it may feel like you're away from civilization, the convenience of Coxen Hole and French Harbour are now less than 10 minutes away as new concrete roads were installed in 2019. Enjoy nearby grocery shopping and ease of running errands without sacrificing your relationship with nature. And if you're looking for a night out, West End is less than 15 minutes away. If needed we can put you in touch with a local car rental company and they will meet you at the airport with your rental and accompany you to the house. We can also assist you with contact details for Eldon's, the main supermarket location on the Island, and they can arrange for your groceries to be delivered to the house upon your arrival, and we can also assist with other deliveries of high quality meats, and fresh juices and vegetables from trusted locals.
