The bedroom is behind the kitchen, and features a king size bed (with blackout curtains and a sound machine to ensure the best night's sleep!) and a renovated ensuite full bath with a luxurious large shower. The cottage is located on a historic property that was originally developed in 1788 as a tavern/inn, and served as a center for regional travel, mail, and voting during America’s early days. Distinguished figures including Marquis de Lafayette stopped at the tavern on their way to visit Thomas Jefferson at Monticello. At one point, The cottage was the office for the doctor who resided at the property's main house. It has since been updated and expanded to serve as a luxurious and attractive guest house.
