Colorado Cabin Escape! Get away from it all! What sets our place apart from the rest? A cozy, rustic, quiet, 1880's historic cabin! Immaculate Hot tub & Sauna and hiking in 3 major open spaces! Fishing, biking. Minutes away from Red Feather Lakes, Fort Collins and Cheyenne. Our place is RUSTIC, and vast. Miles of hiking. Shooting stars each night. Fall asleep to the sound of coyotes and great horned owls! Relax, unplug, and enjoy the scenery and downtime. The space Enjoy a piece of WESTERN history! This is not a room within someone's house! It's a rustic, 1880's, renovated, PIONEER cabin. Privacy and serenity are yours. If you need us you can text, but otherwise you are left to enjoy beauty. The vastness that surrounds you is breathtaking. Views of the Mummyrange and Rocky Mountain National Park peaks! Our historic, homestead cabin has a brand new Corsicana mattress, copper-infused, memory foam combo wrapped coil with 12 inch pillow top, Aspen frame and a small, but adequate bathroom with brand-new one-person shower. There is a front living room with sauna, stool, chairs, and desk so that you can work if you wish as we have satellite wi-fi. Many local artist’s creations grace the inner logs! Food: Farm-to-table: Breakfast is now offered ($15.00 per person) with a two or more night stay. Or simply get a HUGE homemade cinnamon roll for $10 bucks. (Please ask when booking, not once you arrive). You can contract for our steaks/potatoes for dinner, that's an additional $90.00 for two. (You Grill) Fresh eggs, twelve for $10.00 and charcuterie board $48.50. We also offer chorizo and pepper jelly. We normally have a nice assortment available. We now have tallow skin cream, cleanser, soap, and lip balms as well. Please ask ahead of time to reserve these things when booking! Sweetheart Package add on: Includes; bottle of wine, zillions of votive candles, rose petals, and chocolates. $45.00. Please reserve early, so it is ready upon arrival. WIFI provided, (we have a dish and Starlink) no TV. Shower Radio and both radio/CD player are built into the sauna. This is the perfect place to unplug and get the downtime you crave! The hot tub is a Master Spa Twilight series. Salt-water bromine, sparkling clean, emptied between each guest. (ex-science teacher here) You may use our bikes ($15.00 rental fee-non refundable if you do not use them) which have been recently tuned up. Down the road is a gorgeous lake and two waterfalls. (March-Sept) You can fish off of our property, but please bring your own fishing equipment. Horses, cows and pronghorns are often seen, as well as a variety of beautiful birds. Fall asleep to clean mountain air and the sound of the coyotes. The great horned owls, and bald eagles frequent often! Our property is relaxing, and laid-back. Our cabin is 140 yrs old and RUSTIC---not the Hilton, but they don't allow horses either! Perfect for simple, “get back to the basics get-a-ways." Honeymooners, birthdays, anniversary celebrations, and special, memory-making excursions. Dogs: (Pets incur an additional flat-rate pet fee, and must be PRE-APPROVED.) ***Please mark that you are bringing a pet on your reservation.***Allowed: medium or small-sized dogs only. No more than two. There is an on-premise kennel that is very large, as pets cannot be left in the cabin unsupervised at any time. A leash is only required on the immediate property, but dogs can be off-leash once you exit onto our back acreage. We have a cat, chickens, horses plus cows, so please make sure your animal will not pose a threat to these animals. The hot tub is 30 steps away from your cabin in a private courtyard. Breakfast can be left outside on your picnic table for you, just let me know upon booking. Charcuterie board with meats, fruits, nuts, cheeses, or you can customize, with chocolate covered strawberries—offered by special request! Awesome bar and grill down the road one mile. We do not allow COOKING inside of the cabin other than microwaveable items, as we offer a large Vermont Castings propane grill and breakfast griddle outside. Also, a “big green”egg! Come enjoy Western heritage, but in a comfortable, cozy, unique and restored 1880's log cabin. Where pioneers used to live! “Glamping” at its’ finest! Guest access You have the entire cabin/sauna and hot tub to yourselves while visiting. Yes, YOU HAVE A HOT TUB AND PRIVATE SAUNA!!! MANY secluded acres of trails, waterfalls. hiking, and biking (small 15.00 bike rental fee) as well. Dogs incur an additional fee and require pre-approval. Must be kept on leash only while on immediate property, yet can go off-leash on our back acreage. Please message about your dog and mark it down or pet-fee will be charged accordingly when you arrive. Checkin-after 4:00, self check in. Early check-in and late check out available just ask! Other things to note We designed our place with rest and relaxation in mind. That is why we cater to ALL couples and offer relaxing amenities such as a hot tub and sauna. We have a river that runs through the property. FISHING ENCOURAGED (March-Sept) bring your own poles! We are an original 1880’s homestead where pioneers lived. We have restored everything to make it modern, yet we left it historic & RUSTIC. It has a lot of history, artwork, and character. Peaceful, quiet and beautiful. Our internet works super fast plus, Xfinity & Verizon wireless!The bathroom is small, warm and clean, and the shower is a NEW fiberglass insert. Our well is considered an artesian well and we have had our water tested by CSU, certified "amazing" mineral water and delicious!! (We are not opposed to offering charcuterie boards upon arrival! Please ask to have that prepared for you (for 48.50) Breakfast is now offered (15.00 per person) please request when booking. We now serve pastries for $10.00 each! You can contract for steaks and potatoes for dinner, that's an additional $90. ($40 per steak, 5 for loaded baked potatoes) You Grill! The steaks are from our own cows. Fresh eggs, six for $6.00 and charcuterie board $50. Please ask ahead of time for these items! The Cabin does NOT have a kitchen. We offer deluxe outdoor grilling options, and Thursday-Sun the bar down the road serves all meals! Cabin has a small refrigerator, microwave, and pour-over coffee pot. Outdoors there are two propane grills. One has a flat surface for bacon, eggs. One is a huge Vermont Castings propane, and we also offer a big green egg! If you need an early or late check out, it is $35 to extend your time for two hours. You have several ways to heat the cabin, through potbelly stove, baseboard heat, and space heaters or choose the A/C window unit for Summer. Storm windows and a storm door as well. VERY tight and QUIET! We also have a heated mattress pad. Summer nights cool off by 8:30PM. The scenery is vast, and yes there are critters: raccoons, owls, eagles, rare birds, mule deer, pronghorns, and coyotes. The vast scenery is nothing short of breathtaking. You can see Rocky Mountain National Park's snow-capped peaks! The stars at night are magical with no city lights to obscure the view. Fishing is allowed, just please bring your own fishing equipment! **Note: We do not allow smoking or any drugs/THC INSIDE/around cabin. THC is hazardous to our pets!!!! Please review the “House Rules” before booking concerning pets which need to be pre-approved, and be sure to mark you’re bringing a dog/dogs. If you bring a pet, without preapproval, you will be charged a flat rate of $200. If you mark that you are bringing a pet, the rate is much lower. “Please read the property description and the above carefully before you book."
