Our historic 2 bedroom town home is located in the beautiful historic district of Burlington, NJ, less than 20 miles to center city Philadelphia and about an hour to New York City. We are close to Sesame Place too. A short two block walk along tree lined sidewalks gets you to the light rail "River Line" that whisks you to the high speed PATCO rail line directly to center city Philadelphia or north to NJ Transit trains with service to New York City! We welcome flexible check ins and checkouts. The space This town home is on a shady tree lined, brick sidewalk street one half a block from the Delaware river. On the river enjoy a more than a mile long promenade and park with bike trails to the Burlington Marina. The neighborhood is definitely historic, Benjamin Franklin once had a printing press at the end of our street! The home has stained trim, hard wood floors and the original hand-sawn beams in the kitchen. The smaller bedroom with queen bed is on the second floor, and the whole top third floor is a bedroom with a king size bed. The bathroom (full one) is on the second floor and has a shower and a separate claw foot tub for soaking. The kitchen is fully equipped with: gas stove, dishwasher, referigerator, microwave, coffee maker and full utensils as well as dishes and silverware. It's our home, so It has everything you could possibly need! Upon checking in please help yourself to complimentary water, sparkling water, soda, coffee or tea! Our home is your home! Please remember this house is an historic townhouse, and the bedrooms are on the second and third floor. Parking is on the street, but there is never an issue, and we have a multi-space lot at the beginning of our street. Guest access Home access is with a secure, personal 8 digit cipher lock front door entry. I will either text or email you your access code the day before you arrive. Check in is super simple. The last thing you (and I) need when traveling is a hassle at check-in. Very flexible check in and check out makes your stay stress free, let us talk about your needs. Running late? No problem! The whole house is yours! Backyard brick patio is super private and has a gas or charcoal grill and table and chairs. Plenty of off-street parking and easy access to all major roads and rail lines make car access very easy. Leave the car at home: take a train or light rail to Burlington and walk a few short blocks to our home. Each room has a large flat screen TV and the living room also has Dolby sound and a Roku setup for streaming your particular entertainment wishes. Super fast WIFI ensures uninterrupted internet connections throughout the house and back patio. Other things to note Parking is on-street only. This historic district is mostly historic row homes but there is plenty of parking in front of the house (first come-first serve) and down Wood Street towards the river. Take a look at any online map and you can see there is lots of parking. If it really gets crazy (street fairs, car shows, boat parades and other special events) at the beginning of the block on High Street (the main street thru town) and Pearl Street (our street) the old fire station has a parking lot that's on the same block as the house. Tons of parking here too! Our home is half a block from the Delaware river and we have a mile long or more promenade that runs along the river front. The bandstand has concerts in the summer and they show movies there as well. Bring a blanket! The elementary school has a big playground a block down Pearl Street and has all the swings, monkey bars, basketball hoops and stuff like that. My kids used to love that playground! There are a few private swim clubs around and they allow day guests. One I found is in Collingswood, NJ, about 25 minutes south. They do sell day passes to the public pool at Roberts Park. The 'River Line' light rail runs from Trenton, NJ (the capital of NJ) to Camden, NJ (connection to Philly.) A short two block walk to the light rail north and to a NJ Transit connection in Trenton, gets you to Penn Station in NYC in a little more than an hour. The light rail south to Camden with a connection to PATCO high speed line gets into Philly around 45 minutes or less. Our European guests (we have had a bunch) say they like the transit situation for getting around. I have taken it from both Newark Liberty airport and Philadelphia International Airport, pretty easy to navigate.
