Our quiet, comfy 800 square foot apartment is perfect for a couple’s getaway, a working retreat or a break from hiking the local trails. Round Hill is one of the highest vantages in the local area for viewing the Shenandoah Valley. Sunrises and sunsets are breathtaking. We have no light pollution so many guests enjoy night sky viewing. We are close to fantastic wineries, orchards, hiking trails and restaurants. The space There is plenty of space to spread out in the living room to read or watch a movie. We provide fresh eggs from our small flock of hens as well as freshly ground coffee and cream for your breakfast. Granola, milk, fruit and yogurt are also provided. Eat in the dining area or on the 32 foot front porch, enjoying views of the valley or the flora and fauna near your chair. Guest access The apartment is located in the lower level of our home. Adirondack chairs and a hammock swing grace the expansive front porch for your resting pleasure. A gas grill is available for guests’ use. Other things to note Our home is built on a former apple orchard at 1600 ft elevation. Because of this elevation and our lane that is quite steep, we send detailed instructions to all guests for navigating the lane. We’ve created a walking trail through open meadow and wooded areas, if guests want to explore. A fire pit and wood are available for evening enjoyment or stargazing at night. We also provide everything needed for making s’mores.
