Spend your time boating, fishing & partying like a local on the sandbars, dining out at one of Petoskey and Alanson's incredible restaurants or take a day off and head up to the famous Mackinac Island (Pronounced Mackin[aw]). Whatever you choose, even lounging inside, this is the perfect home-base for a true Michigan experience. The space This comfortable & sunny 1 BR cottage is absolutely perfect for those looking to cozy up together or for a summer family getaway. Accommodating up to four (4) guests, the roomy bedroom provides a queen size bed, and 1 bunk bed with both a full size and twin bed available. Need to bring a couple more? We offer complementary high-speed wi-fi and select premium streaming services - So go grab some jiffy-pop and rock-paper-scissors over who gets to pick the next movie! The living room also features a gas-operated fireplace/heater that creates the perfect temperature as well as ambiance. The kitchen comes fully stocked, including: pots, pan, utensils, dishes, microwave, stove, oven, tea & coffee station with local coffee, serving trays, wine & bottle openers, s'mores sticks & more. Unfortunately, at this time we do not have an ice maker or a dishwasher. We are located directly on Crooked Lake with free dock parking for one (1) boat. A boat launch is located ~10 minutes down the road, and guests will be able to drive right to our dock with ease. Our property also provides a private firepit and charcoal grill. Guest access Our cottage - Lucky # 7 - is an approximately 350 sq. ft. cottage residing on a mutually owned property with 8 other private cottages and cabins who all share the grounds and common facilities. This means that the property is shared and enjoyed by all! Shared amenities include access to two (2) docks located on Crooked Lake, wood firepit, picnic table, fish cleaning facilities, clothes line & more. The Lucky # 7 Cottage, though on shared property, is situated on the end of the other units, tucked next to a waterway that feeds into the lake and the tranquil trees. This gives you an extra padding of serenity and privacy away from other potential neighbors or renters. Your rental will also include a completely private parking space, a private outdoor dining area and private charcoal grill for use. Just remember, this is the Mid-West so don't be surprised at our friendliness! Other things to note **PLEASE READ** We love children and hope that we can help your little ones create lasting memories. In order to give them the most memorable and *safe* experience possible, please read the following warnings : 1.) CHILDREN SHOULD NEVER BE LEFT OUTSIDE UNATTENDED. This unit is located steps away from a slipway and about 100 yards away from Crooked Lake with dock access. Drowning Hazards are serious, please make sure to watch young kids around the water. 2.) Be aware that this property is located off Oden Road which often experiences heavy traffic and is very dark at night. Please keep an eye on children and be careful when walking on and crossing this road.
