Cozy rustic converted barn on a very private 6.5 acres in a very rural charming Vermont setting. Has beautiful long-range mountain views, park-like trails, fire-pits with free wood, and all the amenities, including a NEW gas cooking range. The space This home has the rustic feel of a real Vermont barn but all the modern amenities of home. The property affords total privacy on it's 6.5 acres, so you can just relax and enjoy being in a beautiful setting. There is a hot tub out back along with a large lawn and park-like trails throughout approximately 4 acres of forest. There is one master bedroom with a queen-size bed. The other bed is a spring-mattress futon in the large loft area. It offers semi-privacy. There is a small back room with TV and a plug-in remote controlled air mattress that can be used as a private sleeping area. There's also a smart TV in the living room and in the loft. This property is dog friendly. If you want to bring 1 to 3 dogs, please be sure to check the box for pets when making the reservation so that the $80 pet fee will be included in your quote. Please no cats. My partner is dangerously allergic to them. Kitchen is fully equipped with cooking utensils, a variety of spices, refrigerator, microwave, toaster, toaster oven, NEW GAS RANGE, waffle and bread makers. There's a washer and dryer. Bathroom has a bear-claw bathtub with a beautiful view as well as a slate-shower. There are 3 televisions in the house. One is a smart TV. The other two are hooked up to Comcast and have access to 100's of channels and on-demand free movies. There is also a DVD/VCR player and a library of DVD's and VCR tapes. Guests have access to a gas grill, free firewood. Southwestern Vermont is full of outdoor activities including hiking, biking, rafting, fishing, hunting, golf, and skiing. The geography is mostly mountainous, forested, and rural, with classic New England towns and small farms throughout. This location less than an hours drive to 5 major ski areas. Killington/Pico are about 75 minutes away. Owner does not live on site, but can be contacted 24/7 with questions or problems. Guest access Guests have access to a gas grill, free firewood, and 6.5 very private acres, including about 2 acres of open lawn and another 4 of woodland that has park-like trails and sitting areas throughout. You will have the property all to yourself. Other things to note Major snow storms are a possibility in the winter. Good tires are a must and 4-wheel drive is helpful. There is reliable plowing service to get you out to the ski slopes or just out in general. Weather-related cancellations or early departures are not eligible for refunds.
