The space This large (2500 sf) single story home is perfect for groups & families looking to relax, swim, ski or hike. A glass walled, open plan kitchen overlooks rolling hills, allowing you to enjoy the tranquil white snow during the winter months. There's 2 living/sitting areas: one in the kitchen so the chef never feels alone, and another full living room with very comfortable seating & a warm woodstove inset in the fireplace. (wood provided for free, but bring your own newspaper/kindling). Please note that there two rentals on the property. The main house (this listing) and the barn are rented separately (unless of course you have rented both!) and the pond is a shared amenity for both houses. The kitchen is a fully equipped chef's kitchen with french doors all around that open onto the 3 level outdoor patio, with a view of the pond. Radiant heating keep your feet warm while you cook. In the summer there is an ultra comfortable large hammock for 2 overlooking the natural swimming pool/pond, or take a picnic on the far lawn under an apple tree. In the winter you can go sledding on our rolling hills or cross country skiing. If conditions are right, you can skate on the pond (bring your own skates). We have 2 young children so our house is stocked with games for both adults and young ones. There is also a fun play set out back with a jungle gym, slide and 2 swings. Make it your own private spa weekend by asking for a massage therapist and/or a yoga instructor to come to the house. Then enjoy the Japanese cedar hot tub and the barrel sauna off the back deck, as well as an indoor steam shower! A rarity in the US, but popular in Europe, our natural swimming pool uses plants to filter the water. In the winter, one can ice skate if conditions are ideal. It’s a combination of a pool and a pond. There are frogs and turtles but it’s much cleaner than a regular pond. It has a filtration system that means no chlorine is needed, and we have redirected a natural spring to feed it. The pond is lined, but covered with rocks and sand. We have stayed in lots of Airbnb’s around the world, and we use this knowledge to bring you an elevated experience. We pride ourselves on providing an extremely clean and comfortable house with lots of places to lounge and relax, in addition to it being a stylish splace. We live here whenever we are not renting - and only offer our house for rent when we are traveling, which we do often. So that means you’ll find high quality linens & great kitchen implements. **The guest house shares the pond with the main house but we always find there is enough space for different groups to hang out as there is a sandy beach area, plus a dock and attached yoga deck on the other side from the beach. Groomed Cross Country Skiing is only 5 minutes away at OMI sculpture garden, or just ski around the acreage and down the drive!
