We call this our hidden gem because it's not too far from town, wineries, UVA, Monticello and more that Charlottesville has to offer, but yet it's far enough away from the hustle and bustle. The renowned Clifton Inn, a popular destination wedding venue is less that 1/4 mile away. Thomas Jefferson's Monticello is a 7 minute drive. The campus of UVA is a 15 minute drive. We call this our studio loft because it has the feel of a mountain cabin. The views are gorgeous and the setting is peaceful. The space I love to decorate so I’m particularly grateful to do so in this barn studio. I want my guests to feel like they are in a home not in a hotel room. I carefully hand pick and oftentimes paint my own furniture finds. The balcony is a great place for morning coffee while breathing in the fresh air and taking in the Mountain View’s. We have a fire pit and a pool for our guests to enjoy. We provide the kindling, fire wood, blankets and lighter. All you need to do is bring your glass of wine! We have another guesthouse on the property so all guests have access to use the pool. Guest access Guests have access to our private pool located up by the main house (pool is seasonal.) We ask that if you want to use the pool after 6:30 p.m. that you send us a message and request to do so (we like to swim laps after work usually around 6:30 or so…after that, no worries!) Liability Waiver: Owners are not responsible for any incident, or accident that may occur while using our pool. You understand that swimming in the pool is at your own risk and that special risks may be involved with swimming. You accept full responsibility for any bodily harm arising from swimming and hold the owner harmless. You agree to use only plastic cups (provided) when drinking liquid in the pool area. You agree to be fully and solely responsible for any accidents you may incur. You understand the risk discussed above and agree that you will assume all responsibility. You agree to waive any claim whatsoever against the owner for accidents or claims arising from swimming or using the pool. In booking this Airbnb all guests agree to this waiver of liability. Other things to note There is a fire pit on the property that all guests have access to. It is shared with guests staying in our other 2 person Airbnb on the property. We live about 5 minutes from Monticello and there is a great 4 mile walking trail just past the entrance to Monticello that is so nice to walk. Check it out.
