The foothills trail, hiking, biking, and waterfalls are all within minutes of the property. The space A sublime place where art and the natural world collide. Start your morning enjoying coffee on the patio amongst the trees and being completely immersed in nature. Relax by the garden after a long day of exploring or take a spin around the lake. Test your luck and pan for gold in the creek. The cottage is near the lake but not located on the water, its a 1 mile walk or drive. Please do not swim in my neighbors pond which is viewable from my home.The firepit is a perfect way to end the day, with stories, music, laughter, and just letting the stars shine down upon you. Brevard, Asheville, Cashiers, and Highlands are all surrounding communities that make wonderful day trips. Offering farm-to-table restaurants, BBQ, coffee shops, art, live music, festivals, shopping, antiques, flyfishing, parks, hiking, and misty waterfalls. Make sure you book in advance for the annual appearance of the Blue Ghost fireflies. This phenomenal event takes place mid May through early June.( Please note that I cannot guarantee or predict the exact arrival date, this is nature) Many of the parks in the area have overwhelming crowds at night due to this spectacular site. Here you will have your own private show, with hundreds and thousands of glowing lights all over the dark forest floor. An event you will cherish and never forget. Guest access Guests will have full access to the cottage, Line Runner lake, private backyard, creekside trail, patio, gardens, hammocks, and a firepit. This is a stand alone cottage on 1.5 acres, private and secluded. Other things to note At Sacred Roots we try to use mostly earth friendly cleaning products, detergents, and soaps. Some modifications have been made due to Covid19 cleaning procedures. Please try to conserve and be mindful of energy use. One of the bedrooms is an open exposed loft with a 6 ft 1 clearance, Queen bed, ladder, and a very small bathroom. The other main level bedroom has an attached bathroom. Also additional space outside for hammocks and tents for those who want to camp. Kitchen table is small and cannot accommodate more than 4. But there are many other cafe style tables for eating outside or in the screened in porch.
