The Cottage is located in historic East Poultney next to the old Poultney schoolhouse (now historical society). Just over 1 mile to the town of Poultney. The sidewalk starts (or ends how you look at it) in front of the cottage which leads to town. Great for a walk or bike ride. Pico, Killington and Bromley Mountains all less than an hour drive. Plentiful fishing and boating opportunities. 3 miles to Lake St Catherine, under 10 miles to Lake Bomoseen. Slate Valley bike trails surround the area. The space The Cottage was built in 1910 as a “Mother in Law” house. It is a small, yet very cozy 2 bedroom home. The shower is constructed from local Vermont slate. All the amenities of home. Strong WiFi and cable tv w/Roku Guest access The entire home and back and front yard access. Other things to note The Poultney River has excellent swimming areas and is located less than a mile away. For those interested in trail biking, Slate Valley Trails is a mixture of professionally hand built and machine built trails (mostly singletrack) in Poultney, VT that are open to non-motorized use, including mountain biking.
