Fifty-two bird and waterfowl species live here, along with eagles, coyotes, foxes and lot of white tail deer. The property itself is State Forest Land. The space You will be staying in one of two advertised Airbnb bedrooms in a house. Remodeled in 2022. The large one bedroom includes a loft outside the door to relax at. Also included is one full private bathroom inside the room. Also, extra pillows, blankets, a ceiling fan, phone chargers, small refrigerator, heater if needed, and a DVD Player for movies if you wish to bring some. No TV reception, no INTERNET, and your PHONE MAY NOT WORK. Most people come to visit the attractions in the area or sit on the sand beach by the fishing pond or enjoy the pier to watch birds at the turtle pond. Others watch nature from the front covered porch and enjoy the trails that loop around the property or the park across the street. Nature is abundant here and never stops amazing everyone that takes the time to enjoy what was given to us. The entire house is not included (I must include this), no access to the kitchen or the rest of the house. Your vehicle is parked just outside the door on the brick looped drive for you to view from your room. There is plenty of local places to eat within driving distance. Guest access Your stay includes, one room, two guest maximum. You can come and go as you please through the front door. No set times except check-in (after 4pm) and check-out (before 11am). You will be provided a key for your room for your safety. We do have two house cats that will greet you but then you might not see them again, there-for, the exterior doors need to stay closed, so they do not stray. No shoes upstairs please where the bedrooms are due to new carpet. Currently we do have 40 free range chickens that sometimes can be loud in the summer months when they stroll farther out into the 11 acers. Parking is at the front door for your stay, please don't park elsewhere since I do get firewood delivered and they need the room to turn trucks around. On that note in the winter months the house is heated with firewood and somewhat off the grid, water is also heated from firewood, so sometimes the outside smells like smoke. We also have no internet available, and TVs are required to be hooked up to your phone/hotspot to work. Please read the entire description so you are not disappointed with your stay. Don't rely on an Uber or a taxi since there isn't any in the area, we are just too far out. During your stay I will always be home and available if needed. Text or phone me if you don’t see me. Other things to note Across the street is the High Point Conservation Area which provides hikers with a quite respite from which to enjoy the outdoors. Roughly 2 miles of looped nature trails provide ample opportunity for visitors to appreciate the scenic views and observe wildlife in the woodlands and meadows. You can walk there from the front door which is a two mile walk to there and the trails and back to the house. Bring binoculars in the winter for the best view. Biking is not allowed in the park but there is lots of long country roads to enjoy. Wisconsin is only a mile away and Lake Geneva is full of year-round actives. There is a breathtaking trail around the lake that I encourage everyone to do with incredible views of million-dollar mansions. Fontana beech ($$) is also very nice and close.
