Cozy Cottage Near Crystal Lake
Cozy guest cottage tucked away in the quiet town of Gilmanton. On a small hill with just a short walk down to Crystal Lake to launch your kayak or take a dip. This adorable year round camp has many necessities and is the perfect place to unwind. Less than a mile to the local beach and boat launch. Only 15 minutes to Alton Bay & Lake Winnipesaukee, and close to Gunstock Mt., Tilton shopping & restaurants and the Weirs. Come enjoy the mountains and lakes in the beautiful Lakes Region! The space Crystal Lake area is a bit off the beaten path, but offers a relaxing and quiet getaway! You will have the entire 650 sq ft house to yourselves. Our cozy rustic cottage is ideal for couples, small families or a few friends. Four people will find this space very comfortable. With a queen bed in one bedroom and twin bunk beds in the other. There is also a sleeper sofa in the living room to accommodate two extra guests, but it may feel a bit snug! The bathroom is small, but very clean and has a shower (no tub). The Lake Access We have a very small shared lake access spot (only 10 ft) on Crystal Lake. Just a short 500 ft walk at the bottom of our road, located directly across the street. It is not very big! Only large enough to launch your kayak, fish or take a dip in the lake. It is not a beach. There is no dock or parking available. For more beach space and boat launch, Crystal Lake Park is less than a mile away and Ellacoya State Park is 30 minutes away on Lake Winnipesaukee (seasonal). **NO PETS, PARTIES, or SMOKING** Other Info • Check in time 3pm, Check out time 10am • 6 guests max. Number of guests including children and infants can total no more than six. • Keyless entry with a keypad. • Fresh linens and towels are provided. • Fully equipped kitchen with pots, pans, refrigerator, oven, microwave, Keurig with coffee pods, French press and coffee, tea kettle and tea, blender, toaster, spices, some cooking necessities and a few snacks. • We provide a starter supply of paper towels, toilet paper, garbage bags, tea and coffee. • Propane grill with propane provided and outdoor patio set on the deck (seasonal). • Enclosed bright porch area overlooking the lake with seating. • Amazon Firestick for the TV and WIFI. Echo Dot speaker with Alexa. • Workspace with a desk and chair. • Games, playing cards, corn hole boards and books. • There is a nice small back yard with a fire pit to enjoy and a wood stove available in the living room. Bring your own wood (out-of-state firewood is prohibited in NH). • AC unit in both bedrooms (seasonal) and fans to stay cool. Guest access Guests will have access to the entire house, backyard, fire pit and shared lake frontage (no beach). Other things to note 1. WINTER MONTHS: The property is on a private road that gets plowed by a private contractor. Please be patient during storms for the road to be plowed. AWD or 4WD vehicles are highly recommended - other vehicles WILL NOT make it up our hill when there is snow/ice. Guests are responsible for the removal of snow/ice around the doorways and paths to the house and car during their stay if needed. There is a shovel and sand available for you to use. 2. PARKING: Do not bring more than two vehicles. The driveway can hold two mid-size cars max or one vehicle with a trailer only. Stay on the gravel in the driveway and do not park on the grass or in the backyard. Parking on the road is not permitted. 3: SECURITY: There is one security camera facing the driveway. Since we are not located on site this is used as a security measure and for our liability. 4. We do not have a dishwasher. You are responsible for cleaning your own dishes during your stay. We also do not have space for a washer and dryer. There is a laundromat 8 miles away if needed. 5. CELL RECEPTION: Cell reception here isn't great! You can make calls through Alexa or enabled 'wifi calling' on your cell phone if needed. There is also a landline phone available. 6. LAKE ACCESS: Is generally not accessible during winter and early spring months. There is dock equipment stored on the space. 7. You are in the country, so you will be around wildlife and bugs. We do our best to take care of pests, but occasionally ants or other insects may get in.
