This is a listing for a sparkling clean self-contained basement-level guest suite within our home. You have your own entrance and complete privacy as well as your own private shower room. My husband and I live in the property above with our cat. While he will not have access to your suite, I respectfully advise if you have allergies or just a general dislike of cats then this is not the place for you. The suite comes complete with a microwave, mini fridge, iron & tea & coffee making facilities. The space The listing is for the basement guest suite only, not the whole house. Guests only have access to the suite and it’s private en-suite bathroom. The guest suite is a studio style bedroom with living area and a separate bathroom only accessible from your guest suite. Please note there is not a kitchen in this space, just a microwave, fridge and essentials like plates and flatware. There is no TV in the space, but WIFI is fast and reliable*, so bring an iPad or PC for entertainment if required. *we cannot be held responsible for WIFI issues outside of our control. There is A/C and heat in the space. This space is intended for an individual or a couple. Under no circumstances are additional guests not part of the booking allowed. This is not a party house and guests are required to be respectful to us, our space and our neighborhood, noise must be kept to minimum and the space should be left in good condition as you found it. Ceiling beams are exposed in a cool NY loft feel. The bed is finished in soft and comfortable linen. Note: we use a duvet & cover, not a comforter, for extra hygiene. We kindly ask that you respect the environment and use the recycling facilities available, turn off electrical items when they’re not in use and don’t waste hot water. As I mentioned in the summary, there is a resident cat - he is very friendly and may try and check you out. If you leave your front door open he’ll come say hi, he may even try to tailgate you in the door. I can only apologize! He is an indoor/outdoor cat. He has his own cat door into our property (not your suite) and has freedom to come and go as he pleases and is an adored furbaby. He’s up to date on all his vaccinations, is wormed once a quarter and tick and flea treated every month, so he’s totally clean and safe. Please don’t feed him human food or milk, he’s on a special diet. He is cute 95% of the time. The other 5% he can be a brat. FREE PARKING: Street parking is free outside the property. However, during the winter months (Dec 1st-Mar 15th) there is no street parking between 1am-6am for snow clearing (regardless of if it’s snowed or not). During these months you can park on the driveway free of charge, please NOTE: to use the driveway parking: you must be parked to the back of the driveway, leaving space for our vehicle before 9pm and will be parked in until our vehicle is moved at 7am. There is alternative meter parking nearby if these times don't work for you. NOTE: this is only a winter issue and parking is free and easy the rest of the time! Also note, this is a basement-level suite which is adjacent to our utility room. You may hear noise from the compressor for our heating/cooling system, so bear this is mind if you're a particularly light sleeper. In all the years we've hosted the space, no one has ever mentioned it being an issue though. Please ensure you read and understand the house rules before booking, and note the winter-time parking restrictions. The suite features a private en-suite shower room, for your private use only and includes shampoo, conditioner and body wash. During your stay you can enjoy complete privacy in your space. Depending on length of stay, nominal use of the washer and dryer facilities may be permitted (please check before booking). Other things to note My husband and I are British Expats having relocated a little over 2 years ago the the US. We’re fairly new to Hartsdale since escaping the City recently.
