Beautifully restored 18th century farmhouse situated on 4.6 private acres within a 180 acre working farm. Five bedrooms, wood stoves, ample living space, and a cheery sun room with gorgeous views make this house one of a kind. Our backyard features an in-ground, heated, salt water swimming pool (open May to mid-Oct), fire pit (open year-round), large outdoor dining table, gas grill, and a deck with lounge seating and jacuzzi (open year-round). We have a fully equipped kitchen with a soft pantry, including fresh eggs from our farm as a special gift to guests. The gorgeous sun room is a guest favorite and features a lounge area overlooking the property and a table that seats 16. It's the perfect place for a meal or a round of poker. We also have a rec area with wood burning stove, record player with a large selection of vintage records, pool table, table tennis and foosball table. Great for rainy days inside! Each bedroom is tastefully appointed with a mix of antiques and modern amenities. Our library boasts books from every genre and a wide variety of games, toys, blocks etc to keep your little ones occupied. We offer one bundle complimentary wood for the fire pit and wood burning stoves. The flat screen in the living room is equipped with apps like Netflix, Hulu and Amazon. We have made countless, priceless memories over the years at our farmstead, and we hope that you’ll do the same. Guest access You'll have full access to the house, which features five bedrooms, two full bathrooms, library, dining room, sitting room, family room smart TV, kitchen and gorgeous sunroom. The private house itself sits on 4.6 acres - lots of room for outdoor games like badminton, horse shoes, croquet, soccer or volleyball in the spring, summer and fall. The private backyard has a deck, heated swimming pool, jacuzzi, gas grill and fire pit, all of which is just for you to enjoy. Seasonally, you can hike, sled or cross country ski in the surrounding hills. The Barns are kept locked for your safety as well as the safety of our animals, however we can offer you a guided tour of the farm by one of our managers. On a Farm Tour, you can collect eggs in the Chicken Coop, play with and feed the goats, donkeys. We have two barn/outdoor cats. They are very loving and playful and are a fan favorite among most guests. While they do roam around the patio, deck and backyard, they never go in the house so it should be no problem for anyone with allergies. Other things to note This house is a perfect getaway for those looking to escape busy city life and relax for a long weekend or even a week. There is so much to do on the farm and in the surrounding area!! We are conveniently located about 35 minutes from Lake George and Saratoga Springs, NY and Dorest, Bennington and Manchester, VT -- all popular locations with lots of activities. Golfing, spas, outlet shopping, wineries and brewery tours, great restaurants, lakes with swimming, kayaking and tubing, Six Flags Great Adventures, movie theaters, laser tag and more are just a short drive away. Ski the slopes of Willard or West mountain in New York (less than 20 minutes from the farmstead) or drive to Bromley Mountain (approx. 45 minnutes) or Stratton Ski Resort (about an hour) in Vermont. In July and August, visit Saratoga Race Track or enjoy a concert at SPAC. Everything is under an hour away, and then you can retreat back to your private oasis at our farm for dinner, a soak in the hot tub, and a bonfire under the stars.
