A picturesque creekside setting and gracious finishes throughout the home combine to make the perfect mountain escape! The main level features a wall of windows overlooking the peaceful woods. Comfortable seating is arranged around the stone, floor to ceiling, timer-controlled gas log fireplace with a TV mounted beside. A table for eight waits at one of the great room for you and your loved ones to enjoy delicious meals together, and meal preparing will be a joy in the chef's dream kitchen featuring leathered granite counters, a huge island with 3 chairs, and stainless steel appliances including a 6-burner gas range. There is also a half bath on this level. There's room for everyone to relax and sleep in style at A Robin's Nest. The main level has a King master bedroom suite with a spa-like ensuite bathroom featuring two separate granite vanities, a soaking tub, and oversized separate tiled shower. On the lower level are two more bedrooms. One room offers another King bed with an attached bathroom with soaking tub and two separate antiqued wooden vanities, and the third offers a Queen bed. A third full bath is off the game room, with a glass art sink & toilet section separated from the shower & second sink area by a pocket door - ideal for multiple people getting ready in the morning. There's also room for three more to sleep in the downstairs den, on the Queen sleeper sofa and the rollaway Twin bed. Entertainment options abound in this lovely home. Overlooking the great room is a loft with a pool table, and in the lower level den there is a Foosball table. Step outside and relax at the gas fireplace on the deck, enjoy a meal al fresco, relax in the hot tub on the covered lower level patio, and explore the grounds that include a stream and a firepit near the water. Perfectly located just outside Blowing Rock near Appalachian Ski Mountain, A Robin's Nest is an ideal getaway spot any time of year! This property is not pet friendly. Thank you for not bringing pets into this home. Additional Notes: - All BRMR homes offer well stocked kitchens with all utensils needed to cook meals. There is also a "starter set" of paper products at the house: a roll of toilet paper per bath, a couple garbage bags, a small vial of dishwashing liquid, a few tablets of dishwasher detergent, some laundry pods, a roll of paper towels, hand soap, shampoo, conditioner, body wash, and some makeup remover cloths. There are enough of these items for one night, or maybe two. - Firewood may be purchased with a week's notice. You receive two wrapped, kiln-dried bundles and a fire starter for $25 plus tax. Firewood payment is collected through the Airbnb Resolution Center. - Towels and linens will be provided for you. - AWD or 4WD vehicles are required during winter months. Keep outside noise respectable. • 4WD/AWD and/or chains recommended during winter- it is your responsibility to come prepared for winter weather. From Points South (Hickory, Charlotte, etc.): • Follow Highway 321 through Blowing Rock toward Boone and go under the Blue Ridge Parkway bridge, then turn RIGHT onto the Blue Ridge Parkway. • At the top of the access ramp turn RIGHT and head South going across the bridge. • At the end of the bridge turn LEFT down the ramp then turn RIGHT onto Flat Top Road. • Drive 0.6 mile and turn LEFT onto Rocking Horse Lane just after Swiss Mountain Village. • In about 500 feet, just past the pond, bear RIGHT onto Penley Branch Road. • A Robin’s Nest is the 1st house on the LEFT, shortly after the curve, #233. From Points East (Raleigh, Winston-Salem, etc.): • Follow Hwy 421 North into Boone. • Turn Left onto Hwy 105. (This is actually Hwy 105 Extension). • Follow Hwy 105 for 0.8 Miles to the intersection of Hwy 321. There is a two-story Wendy’s here. • Turn Left onto Hwy 321. Go through several stoplights and out of Boone toward Blowing Rock. • Drive approx. 4.5 miles from the stoplight at Wal-Greens to the Blue Ridge Parkway. • Turn RIGHT onto the Parkway access ramp then turn LEFT onto Flat Top Road. • Drive 0.6 mile and turn LEFT onto Rocking Horse Lane just after Swiss Mountain Village. • In about 500 feet, just past the pond, bear RIGHT onto Penley Branch Road. • A Robin’s Nest is the 1st house on the LEFT, shortly after the curve, #233. From Points West (Bristol, Johnson City, etc.): • Follow Hwy 19 E into NC. • Shortly after entering NC, Hwy 19 E turns to the right toward Spruce Pine. DO NOT TURN HERE! Follow the road straight ahead. This is now Hwy 194. • Follow Hwy 194 into Newland. Turn LEFT onto Hwy 181. • Take Hwy 181 to Hwy 105. Turn LEFT onto Hwy 105. • Follow Hwy 105 approx. 17 miles to Hwy 321 at the two-story Wendy’s. • Turn RIGHT onto Hwy 321. Go through several stoplights and out of Boone toward Blowing Rock. • Drive approx. 4.5 miles from the stoplight at Wal-Greens to the Blue Ridge Parkway. • Turn RIGHT onto the Parkway access ramp then turn LEFT onto Flat Top Road. • Drive 0.6 mile and turn LEFT onto Rocking Horse Lane just after Swiss Mountain Village. • In about 500 feet, just past the pond, bear RIGHT onto Penley Branch Road. • A Robin’s Nest is the 1st house on the LEFT, shortly after the curve, #233.
