Experience our Quaint Historic Bank Lodge Open Concept design The space Our historic bank lodge is very quaint, cozy and super cool....as described by our guests a “Home away from Home!” “The Reserve” is a renovated Historic Bank...Built in 1920... closing due to the Great Depression in 1925. Nicely renovated into a lodge for fishermen, families, wedding guests, newlyweds, hunters, bikers, birders, boaters, kayakers.... the list goes on! Nestled between the waters.....of the Atlantic Ocean and the Chesapeake Bay....6 miles wide! A 7 mile paved bike path is about 24 steps out our door! Easily bike to the beach at Kiptopeke State Park, the Nature Conservatory and much, much more! Sleeping for up to 6 guests very comfortably. This is an open concept design. Downstairs is a Themapedic King bed with adjustable base and a twin bed in the Vault, there are no doors but there is privacy curtains. Yes....in the old bank Vault! Upstairs in our loft is a Queen Thermapedic bed with adjustable base and a half bath. Our laundry closet is on the second level with an iron & ironing board and many other extras. You’ll find a relaxing and comfortable family room with a new Leather couch with queen sleeper and a new Leaather Loveseat, Flatscreen TV, Cable, DVD player and CD Player, along with Games, Movies, CD’s and Puzzles. A fully stocked Kitchen with everything you’ll need along with gas grill out back. The Bank Managers window in the dining area has been designed as a bar counter with 2 barstools for relaxing and hanging out. Our spacious dining room seats 6 very comfortably. The Reserve has 2 full baths with showers only and 1/2 bath upstairs. We have a private outdoor shower w/ hot water (in season) for cleaning up after a day at the beach! Our Back Deck is off the kitchen with a Handicapped Ramp for your convenience. You’ll find our fish cleaning station with a sink and cutting boards for filtering your catch! We ask that you please clean up after yourselves and dispose of fish remains properly.... not in our woods! A charge could occur from your deposit if not properly cleaned up and disposed of, thank you!) Plenty of parking for 2 or more boats...plus additional space for vehicles. Our parking lot is great for cleaning off your boat! Complete with a durable, extra long hose with power nozzle, buckets and brushes. We have a comfortable Firepit area and some cozy seats to sit back and take it all in! (skewers for S’mores in the kitchen). Wood is sold ( via the honor system) at the campground 2 miles away if you need more. And in that fully equipped kitchen you’ll find skewers for S’mores!!! Two picnic tables out back & much, much more! Stay, play, relax and enjoy! Guest access Access our new 7 mile bike path just outside our door or sit and enjoy our fire pit and watch the sun go down while you’re grilling some fresh caught fish! Easy access to Kiptopeake State Park....approx 3 miles south on Hwy 13 to launch your boat, kayak or enjoy a day on the beach sun bathing, swimming or beach combing, hiking or biking. The pier provides great fishing and crabbing as well. **Please make sure you have a license to fish. Bailey's Bait and Tackle in Cape Charles has everything you need and more!
