Our Lakehouse is right on the water with a private dock and boat cage. This house can sleep up to 6 persons. Main living space has wonderful lake views, full kitchen, large seating areas indoors and large deck-plenty of grass for lawn games. The outdoor furniture includes a 2 person hammock-outdoor dining set for relaxing, gas grill. Make yourself comfortable on chairs that surround our fire ring situated lakeside. The space Welcome to our Lakehouse! Our 3-bedroom 2 full bath cottage is situated right on the water, with our own dock. This 3-bedroom house can sleep up to 7 adults + children. The master bedroom features a Queen-sized bed with wonderful lake views. The 2nd & 3rd bedrooms are appointed with a full or queen-sized bed. The main living space is open with wonderful views of the lake, with a wall of windows looking towards the lake. The kitchen is newer, with plenty of countertop space and some island seating for a quick refueling, there is a table inside for group dining or board games. We have a large seating area indoors for movie watching or simply hanging out…although you'll probably spend more time outside! There is a large deck and plenty of greenspace for lawn games or simple horse playing! The outdoor furniture includes a 2-person hammock and outdoor dining set for relaxing. While enjoying the large yard, don’t forget to bring some wood with you and make yourself comfortable on the Adirondack chairs that surround our fire ring situated lakeside. Enjoy a simple walk across the street for an ice cream cone! Yup! you’re that close to the perfect summer and amazing ice cream! Sherman’s bay is close to most of Chautauqua's main attractions, such as the Chautauqua Institute, which is just about a 20-minute drive by car (or 15 minutes by boat!). We are only 10 minutes from the cute towns of Jamestown and Mayville which has almost anything you would need. A 20-minute drive (15-minute boat ride) to Bemus Point and only a few minutes’ drive to the Chautauqua Institute. You are welcome to tie your boat off on our boat cradle with direct access of our own private dock during your stay as well. (June - mid September) The water depth is at approx. 3" + high around our boat cage dock, so docking your boat should not be a problem. Don’t have your own boat? Not to worry! There are many boat rental options around Sherman’s Bay. There is little you will be missing during your stay!
