Cavalier Cottage is convenient to the scenic Mohawk Trail (Route 2) and many outdoor activities in beautiful western Mass., with its quaint villages, and home to a great variety of iconic educational and cultural destinations, including (in North Adams) MassMoCa, the Clarke Institute of Art and Williams College Art Museum. Charlemont has food destinations like Avery’s General store, the CrazyHorse bar at Berkshire East. Shelburne Falls has Mocha Maya’s (espresso drinks) and lots of pubs and food eateries. Your host, Patricia MORE THAN A PARTY OF 2… ~ Your choice of two 39″x 80″ Japanese futon mattresses, a Queen Size or an extra large tri-fold twin mattress. Additional information pertaining to visiting 4-leggeds: * ALL breeds are welcome. * There are NO additional fees for bringing pets. * Dogs are totally unrestricted in the cottage. * Dogs may be left alone in the cottage when you choose to go out without them. You may crate them if you so desire, but the Cottage does not require this. The owner is always more than delighted to check-in on pets if this makes a guest feel more comfortable. * Dogs have the exclusive use of the adjoining garden and deck for hanging out. * Beautiful Oxbow Road is a beautiful, quiet country road for dog walks. * We have dog biscuits, dog bowls, dog bedding and a large wire crate (just in case you need one). *My dogs have access to a fenced in yard on one side of the house. Guest dogs have access to the yard/garden on the other side of the main house. So there is no meeting of guest or house dogs unless so desired. EXTRA PET CARE SERVICES (available only to companion animals of Cavalier Cottage guests – see fees below) Availability of fenced-in yard Dog walks (weather permitting) 15 minute walk with one dog (weather permitting) – $15.00 (with 2 dogs $25.00). If additional daily dog care is required, a special rate can be offered. Guest access Private entrance, deck and garden. The cottage only accommodates one party of guests at a time. Other things to note If you are severely allergic to cats please note that the cottage occasionally welcomes feline guests. Cell phone service in the cottage is limited. A land line is always available if needed.
