Our family invites you to stay at our lake house: A place to embrace life at its best, amidst a forest snuggled next to Lake Seminole. Come fish for bream, bass or crappie; build a roaring fire; play games in the open field; or wander 7 acres of forest. Sit on the lake-front deck, catch tadpoles, and spy critters like eagles, gators, and deer. Also bring your favorite people, your kids, your dogs and celebrate this special place together. The space Cattail Cove sits in a pristine natural wildlife habitat, surrounded only by the lake, a forest, and wildlife. Due to its secluded location, the only people you will encounter are the ones you invite. Otherwise, it's just you and the animals. To arrive at the cabin, located on Brockett's Slough, you'll turn onto a two-trail dirt road, enter a forest, and travel a short distance before the landscape opens; revealing the lake, cabin, dock, boat slip, and a large field boarded by water, trees and wildlife. The house actually sits on the lower tip of 7 acres. The deer, gophers, a family of raccoons, birds, gators, and fish await your arrival at Cattail Cove. Whether you enjoy watching wildlife, water sports, participating in a fishing tournament, duck or alligator hunting, reading the latest novel, binge watching sports, playing games with the family, drinking coffee on the deck, enjoying a cool night around the fire pit, or escaping today's crazy world, this is the place for you. Located on Brockett's Slough, off of Lake Seminole, you can easily crank up from the covered boat slip, leave the dock, and in a few minutes be fishing, hunting, or enjoying a family outing at Chattahoochee or East Bank Parks: picnicking, swimming, hiking, or swinging the kids on the playgrounds. This rural, natural setting can also provide scientific hands-on experiences with your children in an undisturbed eco-friendly environment. Please keep in mind this is a rural area, so the wi-fi internet service and Direct TV are provided by AT&T fixed satellite. Guest access You have access to the complete house, dock, boat slip and 7 acres of undisturbed forest. Have a dog you want to bring with you? Dogs are welcome at a $75 rate with a two dog maximum. Just complete the pet's information on the rental form to let us know that your dog will be traveling with you. Remember the woods and lake are home to creatures that are not dog friendly, so be sure to keep your dog on a leash when you are outside the cabin. Other things to note This is a very unique place to stay. When we joined Airbnb, we assumed most of our guests would be fisherman; however, we have hosted people who were attending a family reunion, a traveling nurse stayed while working at a local hospital, a family came for a "back to school" bash, one lady stayed to visit a relative in the hospital, a men's group came for a weekend get-away, a family came to celebrate a Mom's birthday, one group gathered to celebrate Christmas, and another to ring in the New Year. Whatever your reason, we want you to enjoy our house and we welcome you to Cattail Cove or our other properties, River Roost or Willow Wave, about 10 miles away. There are many fishing tournaments on Lake Seminole. Cattail Cove, Willow Wave, and The Roost are excellent lodgings for the ABA, high school, college, kayak, or local fishing tournaments.
