Other things to note The TV is present both in the kitchen-living room and in the double bedroom. Martinsicuro is the northernmost town on the Abruzzo coast in Teramo and is part of the seven sisters, the towns of the Teramo coast (Martinsicuro, Alba Adriatica, Tortoreto, Giulianova, Roseto degli Abruzzi, Pineto and Silvi Marina). It is a modern seaside resort of the Abruzzo Adriatic and is located on the sea coast where the Val Vibrata is confused in the plain. It is 47 km. from Teramo and 32 from Ascoli Piceno. Here the Roman streets Salaria and Traiana crossed, and here stood the Roman centers of Truentum and Castrum Truentinum. Pliny the Elder reports that Truentum was founded by the Viburians. Once Roman became an important trading port node of traffic, so much so that the port area was fortified thus assuming the name of Castrum Truentinum. In the fourth century it was the seat of the bishop. The fall of the Empire also brought an end to Truentum's fortunes. The inhabitants moved to the hills, more sheltered from the barbarian incursions and those of the Saracen pirates from the sea. In the sixteenth century the Tronto was the border between the State of the Church and the Kingdom of Naples. Again the area became strategic; Emperor Charles V ordered in 1547 the construction of the watchtower with customs functions towards the papal state. The extension of the marshes at the mouth of the Tronto river made the environment unhealthy and sparsely inhabited. Only with the Unit the situation began to improve, with the reclamation and opening of the coastal railway road with a station in Martinsicuro. The subsequent tourist development led the center to free itself from the condition of a hamlet of Colonnella to become an autonomous municipality in 1963. Its name comes from the Tower of Charles V, more precisely from the name of its builder, Captain Martin de Segura. Registration number I applied for a CIN, but haven’t received it yet
