At low tide rocks draped in thick tangle of yellow-green and brown-purple seaweeds (rockweed) surround our pebble beach and are an important part of our coastal ecosystem. The shore also has mussels and nooks for beachcombing and exploring. A year-round brook empties into the Bay on the south side of the property and encourages birds and other wildlife to visit the property. The large deck and balcony are great places to picnic or for sitting still and enjoying songbirds, ducks, loons, gulls, eagles, on occasion some wild turkeys, squirrels, even seals, and osprey, depending on the time of year.
