Twisted Run Retreat Bishop Cabin Tiny House
Bring your boat! The tiny cabin offers a tree top view of the river and a sense of privacy. Guests love to tell me about the birds they've seen from the screened porches. The sunsets are gorgeous! The space Both tiny houses have been recognized by international architectural organizations for their unique design. The interior decorating is kept simple to bring a sense of calm and peace to your stay. The kitchenettes include a restaurant grade hot plate, an air fryer, a microwave, and an electric skillet. There is a grill (shared with one other cabin) out the door. Propane is provided. The sleeping space has two twin beds that can be made into a king bed WITH NOTICE (please!). The sofa is a comfortable sleeping space but I do ask that you cover the sofa with sheets if you plan on sleeping there. Let me know in advance and I'll make sure you'll have what you need to be comfortable. The second loft is accessible by a pull-out ladder and is great for reading and meditating. Guest access The cabin is on 15 acres with two other guest cabins. You have access to walking trails in the woods, a stone patio with adirondack chairs and a large firepit, the dock and kayak launch, and lots of lawn area. There are trees that are great for hanging a hammock, flat lawn for bocci (ask for the game and I'll leave it accessible for you), and the screened-in pavilion for yoga or dancing :). If you'd like to reserve a private yoga class with me, let me know. I've been teaching yoga since 2009 and hold public classes in the pavilion on Tuesday and Wednesday evenings that you are welcome to attend. Bring your own mat. I can pass along the phone number of a great massage therapist who will come to the property by appointment. Other things to note A few things to know: the property is on a septic system. There are instructions on how to use the plumbing properly to keep it functioning during your stay and for the next guests. I am also on a well. The well water is treated lightly and run through a carbon filter, so no water bottles are necessary. The tiny cabins have stairs into the cabins as well as stairs to the sleeping loft. River access is down a long flight of stairs, but there is a way to walk around and access the dock without the outdoor staircase.
