The space A2.Oasis Haus is a fully remodeled villa in off-the-beaten-path Bluefields, one of the oldest settled areas in Jamaica. We're located on the southwest coast near Bluefields Beach Park, one of the island's more popular local beaches. The grounds feature a variety of fruit trees including mangoes, starfruit, soursop, pineapple, and bananas. The living areas, upper floors of the house, upper patios, and outdoor dining areas are exclusively for guest use, relaxation, and enjoyment. The main living area offers an open floor plan with a sitting/TV area and a large island that may be used for casual dining or as a workspace. Each of the four main bedrooms has a queen bed, ceiling fan, AC, personal safe, and mini fridge. All bedroom furniture is custom-made by local artisans, as are several other pieces throughout the villa. Access to a smaller fifth bedroom with a full-sized bed is available for an additional charge. Please message us for rates if your party needs access to this additional space. We also offer folding beach chairs and towels for guests to use during their stay. A cook and a caretaker staff the villa. The caretaker resides in a separate cottage on the property and is available to answer any questions about the villa and otherwise ensure our guests have access to what they need for a relaxing stay. We have a suggested menu featuring local breakfast and dinner favorites, and our cook is willing to work with guests on preparing off-menu items. Please note that guests are responsible for all food costs. Our villa's housekeeper will also visit for light cleaning and a towel refresh for guests who stay longer than four days. There is a separate owner's apartment on the lower floor with its own entry, and the owners may reside on the property occasionally. Guest access Guests are free to explore the grounds, pluck and eat ripe fruits, and otherwise make themselves at home. Other things to note Our villa's cook is available Monday-Saturday and her base salary is included in the booking cost. Of course, gratuity is always welcome if guests appreciate her cooking. Guests are responsible for the cost of all food she prepares. She is not available on Sundays or public holidays. Guests have access to the kitchen at all times. However, we ask guests not to prepare complete meals on days when our cook is available.
