This unique stone cottage is located in a small town setting with off-street parking near many well-known attractions in Lancaster County; Shady Maple Smorgasbord and Farmers’ Market, The Kitchen Kettle Village, and Bird-in-Hand - to name just a few. This is your place that mixes comfort and unique all rolled in one – a perfect little place that is sure to make you smile. The space This one-of-a-kind stone cottage was originally built by a local craftsman when he started a family. As years went by and the family grew a larger house was constructed on the property while the cottage was turned into a barn. At some point this barn became a blacksmith shop before eventually returning to its original purpose as a cottage again. The main structure is all stone which is partially exposed on the inside. All wood work throughout the cottage is hand hewn and well over a century old. This cozy space is sure to be a haven for you to relax. Tastefully and elegantly decorated, we hope that our cottage will make your visit to Lancaster County an enjoyable experience. The kitchenette has a small refrigerator (with freezer), microwave, and a Keurig coffee maker. The dining area has space for two with a coffee bar nearby. On the second floor you will find a king sized bed sitting on the old barn floor and surrounded with old barn wood, this cozy space has a tv. Off this room is our bathroom with a shower. The cottage is less than 2 miles away from Shady Maple Smorgasbord & Dutchette or Yoder’s Restaurant & Buffet, along with many other small restaurants and cafes in town!
