Stylishly Renovated Boxcar Near Palo Duro Canyon and WTAMU. Sunsets for miles
EC can sleep 4 comfortably. There is a queen size bed as well as a queen size pull out couch. The kitchenette is equipped with a keurig coffee maker, toaster, electric kettle, microwave and refrigerator. The bathroom has several extras in case you forget something. The shower, which has exposed copper plumbing, is sure to impress. Outside there is a small patio with adirondack chairs that over looks the horse pasture and our beautiful Panhandle sunsets. The space The El Capitan was a streamlined passenger train operated by the Atchison, Topeka and Santa Fe Railway from Chicago, Ill to Los Angeles, CA from 1938 to 1971. El Capitan leaves behind a legacy of being a luxurious, efficient passenger lines to cross the western plains. As I renovated this refrigerated boxcar, I wanted to keep that legacy alive and create a space that combines the spirit of the west with modern day conveniences. Guest access Guests are welcome to pet horses and donkeys if and when they come up to the fence. I would appreciate it if you didn't cross into their pasture though. Other things to note The property is in the "country" so to speak. There are horses and donkeys in the pasture. 3 dogs live here as well. They are all very friendly. More often than not, they will watch you drive in and then go back to taking their naps at the house. Horney toads, lizards and a random snake may appear from time to time in the summer. You may hear the occasional coyote howling at night in the distance.
