It is a 5 minute walk down (and 10 min back up) to the lake for swimming, groceries, and restaurants. With free parking on premises, it is a convenient base to explore Lucerne, Interlaken, and the Jungfrau region! The space Feel a warm welcome from a family-owned vacation home! This comfortable apartment is best suited for a couple, or a family of 4. It is one of 2 units in the building, and is located on the lower level. The upper and lower apartments each have their own separate entryway and outdoor garden terrace, so they retain comfortable privacy. The entrance to the apartment is located one flight of stairs down along the side of the house, as shown in the pictures. The furnishings are new and of excellent quality. Relax in a high quality King-sized bed in the bedroom, high-end sofa bed in the living room, and tasteful furnishings. The interior is allergy friendly. Enjoy the well equipped kitchenette (microwave, oven, fridge/freezer, rice cooker, kettle, Nespresso machine, milk foamer, raclette, fondue, dishes and pans), fast Wi-Fi, and 55 inch TV. Board games and a kayak are also available for guest use. Please respect that there is absolutely NO SMOKING allowed indoors. The apartment has curtains and shutters for privacy. For added comfort, there is a mosquito screen at one window in each room. On request we provide a baby bed for toddlers up to 3 years old and a high chair. Please note that there is a common laundry area in the lower level of the building that is a shared space with the guests of the upper unit. A supply of shampoo, dish soap, laundry detergent, spices and some coffee capsules are provided with your stay. Guest access The apartment and adjoining garden terrace is for your private use. The laundry area is shared with the upper unit guests. Other things to note Getting to the apartment: For guests who are traveling by car, free parking for 1 vehicle at the house. Nearby is access to expressway to Interlaken and Junfrau region. Lucerne and Berne are about 1.5 hour drive away. For those reliant on public transport, please note that the walk from the train and ferry stations takes about 15 minutes with upward incline. The path via Feldstrasse has the most gradual incline with an elevation gain of about 35 meters or 115 feet, the steepest part being at the end. While this is a beautiful walk with panoramic views, it might be difficult for some people, particularly with luggage.
