Heritage House is a five bedroom boutique inn set in a historic home in beautiful Opelika, Alabama. We're located just a short walk from all the dining, shopping, and entertainment that historic downtown Opelika has to offer. All five of our tastefully appointed guest rooms feature a private bathroom, king size bed with luxurious Stearns & Foster mattress, a 55" Smart TV, an adjustable speed ceiling fan, dimmable overhead lighting, and all the comforts of home. The space Take a ride to the past in our transportation-themed room! Located on the first floor, this suite features our only private exterior entrance, a private bathroom with walk-in shower, an adjoining study, 12 ft ceilings and beautiful hardwood floors. Enjoy a plush king size bed with 100% cotton linens, a light-weight duvet in consideration of that classic Southern weather and a luxurious Stearns & Foster mattress. The room has an eclectic mix of vintage décor and antique furnishings, while also boasting convenient modern highlights like a 55" Smart TV, an adjustable speed ceiling fan, dimmable lighting, and extra plug-ins to ensure easy device charging. With seating outside on the veranda just for you, you'll have your very own spot to watch the world go by while you relax and enjoy the shade from the porte-cochère. The adjoining private study features extra seating, a desk to work at, and a little kitchenette with mini-fridge, microwave, and bar cart. With these extra amenities and the private entrance, this is the perfect option for longer stays. Due to the private entrance and dedicated heating & cooling system, the Carriage Suite is our only pet-friendly accommodation. We charge a $25 pet fee per reservation. Heritage House is an adult-only property. We cannot accommodate children under age 12. This includes babies and toddlers. PLEASE NOTE: While this guest room is on the first floor, you must climb a short set of stairs to access the building. This is a historic building and it does not have an elevator. Guest access Guests will have exclusive access to their private room with private bath as well as shared access to public spaces in the house and on the property, including the grand sitting room, dining room, sun rooms, porches, and yard. During your stay The innkeepers, Leif & Dani, live on the property, but not in the main building so they are available to help with questions and issues, but won't be "all up in your business" unless you want them to be. Other things to note Breakfast is included with your reservation and is served daily at a chosen time between 8am and 10am. Your breakfast is made just for you. This is not a buffet or continental breakfast. We have a rotating breakfast menu so every day brings something new. More details will be provided at check-in.
