Town: Ballymena is an old town situated between the more modern Ballymoney and the thriving city of Belfast. The town was established in the 17th century, and it has maintained its tradition of holding weekly Saturday markets, which attract a wide variety of merchants from the surrounding area. It is also home to the Mid-Antrim Museum, which features a theatre with seating for four hundred visitors in a modern glass structure. Walks along the Braid River and through People's Park are also popular activities for tourists. If you're in the mood for a night out and don't feel like cooking, you can choose from the town's many cafes, restaurants, and pubs like The Smoking Monkey Bar & Grill and The Blackstone Bar.
