You can also rent a motorboat and pay a visit to the wonderful gardens and picturesque fisherman houses at the Borromee Islands. For instance: the Palazzo Borromeo on the island of Bella. The Lake Maggiore is also famous because of its infinite gardens of 16th and 17th century villa’s, like Villa Taranto in Verbania.
