Enjoy the splendor of Michigan's Harbor Country! Our updated home is 1 block from the main street (Elm)& walkable to everything! Enjoy specialty boutiques,antiques, restaurants, bakeries, & event venues including Journeyman Distillery, Acorn (music venue) & Vickers Theater. It’s a short 10 minute drive to Lake Michigan! The friendly village of Three Oaks is the perfect place to kick back, relax, & enjoy small town living! We have a hot tub, large fire pit area, & there is a king & 2 queen size beds.The home has a fully equipped kitchen with a gas range, farm sink, quartz countertops, dishwasher, and washer/dryer area. The kitchen is open to the dining and living area and is perfect for entertaining. The largest flag day parade in the United States happens in the village of Three Oaks and our street (Linden) is on the parade route! It sure takes you back in time to simpler living! Our home is a 10 minute drive to Lake Michigan, New Buffalo, Lakeside, and 15 minutes to Sawyer. Warren Dunes State Park is about a 15 minute drive and is the perfect spot to hike the dunes overlooking Lake Michigan. Grand Mere Park is about a 30 minute drive and has beautiful sand dunes and hiking trails. The quaint village of Three Oaks has great restaurants, antique shops, art galleries, bakeries, Vickers Theatre and Acorn Theatre. Check their schedules for events. Acorn Theatre has some great tribute bands that play there! Driers meat market is a Three Oaks tradition and has been there for over 111 years. They make their own beef and pork products. If you want a nice day trip head to St. Joseph (40 minute drive). Go to Silver Beach and check out the shops in the historic downtown. There are many great restaurants as well. Another adventure is the famous Heston Supper Club (used to be Skip’s original restaurant, Skip’s other place is in Union Pier) in Heston, Indiana. It is about 15 minutes from Three Oaks. They are known for their prime rib but I personally order seafood when we go! They don’t take reservations unless your party is greater than 6 so get there early! New Buffalo has a great public beach, many restaurants, boutiques, Stray Dog restaurant is always fun and family friendly, Bentwood Tavern & Terrace Room are on my favorites list, Church Brewery has great appetizers and their own brewed beer, and Villa Nova pizza has a great outdoor patio. There are many great restaurants there but wanted to name a few we like. Redamaks is a family tradition and only open in the summer. They serve burgers, hot dogs, awesome shakes, etc. Great kid friendly restaurant. We just completed a total renovation on our 1930 home in 2019 including plumbing, electrical, AC & heat, new bathrooms, kitchen, lighting, and raised the ceiling in the dining room and kitchen. Guest access 3 car garage has construction material and is not available for use at this time. Other things to note -WiFi -ROKU for streaming -ceiling fans in all rooms -TV’s in all rooms -full size stack washer/dryer -full size fridge - Dyson hair dryer - 2 extra hair dyers - masks, germ wipes - hair straighteners - extra blankets, sheets, and towels -dishwasher - hand mixer - gas range - wine openers - cutting boards - spices for cooking -dishes, pots, pans, baking pans, mixing bowls, cutting boards -silverware - blender -paper towels, toilet paper, body soap, shampoo, conditioner, face soap - wine and champagne glasses - coffee maker, coffee press, coffee cups - toaster - microwave - bikes - small electric bikes (great for cruising around Three Oaks) - beach chairs - coolers - pack and play - portable baby tub - beach towels
