Sunny + Quaint Rental in the Heart of Bayfield
1 bedroom + den with additional queen bed in the heart of Bayfield's historic district, just steps to downtown shops, restaurants, and beaches. Located in the lower level walkout of our duplex, this private + newly remodeled apartment boasts bright spaces, big windows, and comfy furniture for lounging. Take in glimpses of Lake Superior from the open concept living room/kitchen/dining area and enjoy your morning coffee from the covered veranda while enjoying the fresh Lake Superior breezes. The space This sunny + fully separate + sparkling clean apartment in the lower walkout unit of our duplex is perfect for couples and/or families/groups of up to 4 people. Located 2 just blocks from downtown Bayfield, it's the perfect launching pad from which to explore the local shops, beaches, and restaurants or to hop on the ferry and head over to Madeline. The living room, dining room and kitchen are open concept and are set up perfectly for lounging, dining, and visiting. Large south facing windows let in lots light and look over the lower part of the yard, gardens and towards the lake. You can enjoy glimpses of the lake from the patio and the through the living room windows. There is a large enough gap in between the trees to see the ferries come and go to Madeline. The kitchen is fully stocked with all the cookware you’d need to prepare a home cooked meal. We supply salt, pepper, and olive oil. There’s a coffee maker with filters, a coffee grinder, a French press, sugar, and a blender for smoothies or cocktail hour. There’s a private bedroom with a full-sized bed as well as an additional separate sleeping space / nook with a queen bed and privacy curtain just off the den area in the back half of the apartment. Both sleeping spaces have smart T.V.s, high-end bedding and memory foam mattresses to ensure a good night’s rest after a long day of adventuring in Bayfield. The fireplace in the den is ornamental only but still adds some coziness to the space. We also provide extra plush luxe bath linens to make your stay extra comfy. There’s an assortment of board games and books for your enjoyment during your stay. There’s Wi-Fi and a dedicated work space in the living room for those who need to plug in while here. In the warmer months, you can relax out on the private covered veranda while while watching the bees and butterflies buzz about in the yard’s native pollinator gardens. We have a huge raspberry patch that we love to share with guests when in season. While we are connected to the local power grid, the house is primarily powered with solar panels that are mounted on the roof. And because of our grid connection, we don’t experience any cloudy day outages. The upper apartment is our primary residence. Myself, my husband Matt, and our dog Libby reside here. While we make every effort to tread lightly, you will occasionally hear the normal sounds of living as we go about our day. And while the living units and yard spaces are fully separate, we will sometimes need to access or pass through the guest yard area to get to the garage, do yard work, harvest raspberries, etc. There is a parking spot in the back driveway for guest use, otherwise free street parking is available out front. While kids are absolutely welcome, please note that the apartment is not child-proofed. There are cleaning supplies under the sink that are easily accessible, there are no covers on the outlets, and there are large plants that sit on the floor, etc. If you have children under the age of 4 you may want to explore other options. Guest access There is a smart lock with a key pad for self-check in. You will receive check in instructions and a code before your arrival.
