Come enjoy a cozy getaway in Sewanee! You’ll love this space because of the location, amenities, and cleanliness. This home is best suited for couples, small families and those traveling with pets. This mobile home has an open layout. It’s 700 square feet and sits near the woods, off a back road, near the woods, horse pasture and trees. It has a spacious fenced-n yard. Located 7 minutes off I-24 for those driving in, and a short walk or drive from Mountain Goat Trail if you want to walk or jog. The space You will be renting the entire home which includes two bedrooms, 1 bathroom, full kitchen and full size washer and dryer. There is only one bathroom and this is a smaller home, so we don't recommend more than four guests, however on a case-by-case basis we can provide an air mattress to accommodate two additional guests - this makes the living room quite crowded though. Please message before booking to see if this is an option. We do not charge extra for guests, with six being the allowable maximum. LOCATION: We are eight minutes off of I-24 (Monteagle exit) and also 5 minutes from Sewanee University. 25 minutes from The Caverns and Manchester/Kimball/Winchester. The Mountain Goat Trail is a short 3 minute drive, which is a long paved trail for walking or biking. Greeter falls, South Cumberland State Park, Franklin Forest, Natural Bridge, Stone Door, Savage Gulf, and many more are all less than an hour drive. Some features are: *high speed wifi *covered back patio area with curtains/bug netting (perfect for enjoying the outdoors rain or shine) with remote-controlled lighting * Smart TVs with ROKU in living room and both bedrooms *Board games and various card games * Basic kitchen utensils (pots, pans, utensils, salt, pepper, oil) for stove and oven use * French press coffee maker, drip coffee maker, Keurig with k-cups, hot teas, sweeteners, to-go cups * Queen sized beds in both bedrooms * Nightstand lamps, with power strips that include USB ports * Washer & dryer * Space to hang and store folded clothing in both bedrooms * Fenced in yard (approx. ¼ of an acre) *Verizon cell service is spotty inside the home, but works great outside and in the surrounding areas, AT&T service is fine - if you have wifi calling it works great, thanks to the high-speed internet *Summertime won't allow the A/C to keep the temp below about 78* degrees in the middle of the day *Bookings over 8 days in length will have a weekly cleaning/linen change (no extra fee). PETS: The space is dog friendly (other pets allowed on a case-by-case basis). Three dogs is the maximum, and it is strongly recommended that they be supervised when outside and crated if left alone inside. We encourage closing the driveway gate closed when your dog/s are outside (our neighbors have dogs that roam). We provide one large dog crate. All dogs must be up to date on their rabies vaccine, toe nails clipped, recently groomed and on flea/tick prevention. There is no dog fee, however we do ask that you let us know in advance. Please pick up after them in the yard, and while we prefer they stay off the furniture, we do provide linens for that purpose. We have two horses, two dogs, three cats, and occasionally foster puppies/dogs. These animals generally stay on our side of the fence. The fenced in yard surrounding the BnB is your space to use. All gates, except the driveway gate must remain closed at all times. Do not feed our animals or pet them without permission. Some are on special diets. If you would like to spend time with our animals, let us know and we'll do our best to make that happen! This is rural TN, and there are woods all around. If doors or windows are left open you may find unplanned visitors such as bugs or a nosy cat. If animals distress you, we suggest booking elsewhere. We live a few hundred feet from the space, and will be available if needed but will otherwise let you enjoy your time in Sewanee alone. Same-day bookings are welcome, outside of normal sleeping hours we usually respond very quickly to requests. Other things to note As a reminder, this home is next to a small farm. We have animals, and we do allow dogs in the rental (it is thoroughly cleaned between each guest) but not recommended for those with animal-related allergies.
