The Alpaca House was recently renovated with modern amenities & our guests' comfort in mind. Cook delicious meals in an open plan kitchen, sit & watch the Alpacas (it is hard not to smile watching them) from your private deck with views of the Catskills, or spend time unwinding in either of our comfortable living rooms. A family-friendly escape, a 5-minute drive to our quaint town of Germantown, & 15 minutes to the hip town of Hudson. Just a little further & you are in Red Hook or Rhinebeck! The space With two floors, there is plenty of room for your family and friends to spread out and relax. Upstairs has a bright and open floor plan with a beautiful well-appointed kitchen and living room, perfect for cooking and gathering. Down the hall are two restful bedrooms with custom blackout roman shades and organic cotton and linen bedding. The upstairs two full bathrooms offer Public Goods eco-friendly products, one bath is privately connected to the king bedroom. Kids and adults alike LOVE the full floor lower-level bunk room suite--with 4 bunk beds that open to a second inviting living room with a couch, love seat, and two rockers. Choose from our board games and blankets, or bring a book, to cozy up on the bean bag chairs tucked under the stairs in the reading hide-out. Another full bath, an office/desk nook, and a sizeable laundry room complete the lower floor. We also have a special guest house property by the river that is available if you need more space. Guest access Guests have full access to the Alpaca House and the grounds outside of the house to visit the animals. Please note that farther down the path towards the river is a private residence that guests do not have access to. Other things to note The alpacas and donkeys love for you to say hi. Please DO NOT TOUCH the fence (electric), go inside the the fenced in animal pens, or feed the animals.
