A simple, comfortable mountain home located in The Hideout, a four-season community in the Poconos jampacked with amenities. My home is near the main entrance sharing a cul-de-sac with only two other homes. The main lodge is just a 2-minute drive, where you'll have access to a lakefront beach, outdoor pools, boat/kayak rentals, playground, food court, and tiki bar. Dogs welcome (2 max $20 per dog/per night nonrefundable fee). The space Wi-Fi available throughout the house. Deck: Over 720 square feet with a retractable awning, BBQ, picnic table, plenty of chairs with great cushions, and a hammock surrounded by trees w/ flowers and fresh herbs in deck pots. Space heaters available during cold weather. Outdoor wood-burning fire pit (guests to provide wood; cover must be kept on pit while fire is going) First floor living space: Gas fireplace, smart TV with Amazon Firestick (bring your passwords for Netflix, Disney+, Hulu, etc.), table for games/snacks with 4 chairs, sofa, board games, some kitchen amenities (Keurig, electric kettle, microwave, TINY fridge that holds up to 6 12-ounce cans, or a small container of half-and-half for your coffee) Second floor living space open concept kitchen/living/dining: Gas fireplace, smart TV with Amazon Firestick, DVD/VHS player with movies for both kids and adults, ductless AC/Dehumidifier/Heat split unit, dining table, sofa, recliner, ceiling fan Small but stocked kitchen: Stainless steel appliances (fridge with filtered water, freezer, dishwasher, stove top, oven, microwave), crock pot, toaster oven, drip coffee maker, rice cooker, blender, pots/pans, utensils, mugs, glasses, dinnerware, special dinnerware for kids, and glassware for the adults to use for cocktails/wine Bedrooms: all beds will have blankets & pillows; guests have the choice to provide bed sheets, pillow cases, and towels or to have them provided for an extra $100 fee (please indicate on the application) Floor 1/Bedroom 1 - queen bed (dresser + closet) Floor 2/Bedroom 2 - twin over full bunk beds + twin trundle (dresser + closet) Floor 2/Bedroom 3 - twin bed (over-the-door storage organizer + hangar) Floor 3 loft/Bedroom 4 - full bed (closet, hanging shelves, storage bench, ceiling fan) with attached half bath Bathrooms - there's one on each floor: 2 full bathrooms, one with a bathtub; half bath in loft Driveway available to park up to four vehicles Required: one staircase to deck & second floor, second staircase to loft. Guest access Guests can access all parts of the house, deck, driveway, and all closets with the exception of two locked closets in Bedroom 3. Also not accessible is the garage. When you arrive and register with the Security Office at the front gate, you'll receive a car pass/passes for the vehicles you register in your rental application. You will also be given passes to use at the community beach, pools, and other amenities. Keep in mind some amenities will incur an extra charge, like the golf course or fitness center. Others won't, like swimming at the beach and pools. Please note amenities are subject to close at the discretion of The Hideout. Other things to note Essentials: Full size washer/dryer with detergent + dryer sheets available. For the start of your stay, I’ll make sure the following items are available: hand soap and body wash (both liquid in pump bottles); paper towels; TP (2 per bathroom); dishwasher pods; kitchen garbage bags; coffee, assorted teas, and sugar. For the kids: Outdoor pools, swimming at the beach and pools (from Memorial Day to Labor Day). Outdoor basketball, softball, volleyball, and paddleball courts. Two indoor and two outdoor tennis courts. Mini golf and four playgrounds. Videogames, fuss ball, and pool tables at the rec/fitness center. There is an Art center where guests can paint pottery and do an array of different crafts - just ask when checking in at the Security Office for an updated listing of events & activities. At the house: board games, a play tent, play pen, booster seat, books, and kid-friendly dinnerware. Keep in mind that the amenities can at times be closed at the discretion of The Hideout Association. This is not within my control and I can not be responsible offer any refunds or discounts for any closure of amenities, including the community-owned lake. There will be a registration form required to be filled out at least 3 days prior to your arrival for gate access. All drivers must show a valid drivers license and valid vehicle registration upon check in. There are no exceptions to this community requirement. There is a central trash facility for all owners and guests to use located within a 2 minute drive from the house. Trash is not picked up at the house and cannot be left at the house upon departure. Community can close any amenity at their discretion, including lake usage. Homeowner is not responsible for this and will not offer discounts or refunds for any closure, including weather related closures. Another thing to keep in mind that per rules of The Hideout, only guests and cars that you register on the rental application are allowed in the community. As my house is in a community shared with others, please be considerate of the neighbors and consider reducing noise levels by about 11 pm - especially while outdoors. You don't have to pack it in at that time, but please turn off loud music and keep conversations at a level that won't keep others from sleeping!
