Exit the home through the front door, press the Schlage button, pull the door toward you, and turn the deadbolt. Kitchen You’ll find any kitchen item you may need in our cheerful kitchen. The cupboards on the west wall are empty for you to store any grocery items you bring or purchase. Coffee is provided. Turn on the lights in the hutch to power the outlet for the vintage radio. The water container on the counter is well water from our home. The collapsible dish rack is behind the faucet. Bedrooms Nettie’s Nest is the smaller bedroom and includes a full-size bed, customized robes, a closet with a chest of drawers, extra bedding, and art pieces we’ve collected and created ourselves. The curtains are blackout so that you may have a dark, deep restful sleep. Two nesting tables may be used for bedside items. Betty’s Bungalow, the larger bedroom includes a queen-size bed and a unique feature–a cloffice. It’s a closet office with a mini-library, storage, and a desk for your laptop or office needs. The nightstands have ample drawers for storage, and so does the chest of drawers. Monogrammed robes are available for you to lounge in. You will also find travel literature in one of the drawers. The TV provides you with a wide variety of free programming. You may also login to your Prime, Netflix, etc. accounts if you choose. A vintage folding card table sits beside the TV for puzzling, game playing, or just extra eating space. Two folding chairs are stored in the closet opposite the bathroom. Read any books in our library. Take one home if you aren't finished by checkout time. Enjoy the ambience of the soothing colors and vintage and folk art that adorn the space. Kitchen Our kitchen is light and lovely. Sit at the bar and enjoy the view. The water container on the counter is well water from our home. City water is perfectly safe to drink, but we prefer the taste from the well. If you are coffee snobs, as we are, we encourage you to use this water in the drip coffee maker and the French press. There is a small pitcher next to the water container for filling. The tins in the lighted cabinet are pre-measured and labeled for a full pot of drip or a full French press. We buy our award-winning Onyx coffee from Wonder City Coffee on Main Street. The refrigerator and stove are large and useful if you chose to eat in. The washer and dryer work better if you limit them to small to medium loads only. Bathroom The bathroom has a bohemian, artsy design. Enjoy the space and all the amenities. You’ll find an ample supply of towels and toiletries. Please use the exhaust fan when showering as the bathroom gets steamy Outdoor Furniture & Charcoal Grill We have provided outdoor seating in the front and back yards. Watch the birds feed and hear them sing while you swing on the front porch. The backyard seating area is shaded by a mighty redbud. Please enjoy. Please empty them with other rubbish when you check out. Towels There are plush towels and plenty to use during your stay. Extra towels are in the closet opposite the bathroom.
