Conveniently located near the Becket/Otis town line. 5 minutes to Jacob’s Pillow, 20 minutes to Tanglewood, 25 minutes to Ski Butternut, and 30 minutes to Great Barrington. Come enjoy our home away from home, the lake, and all the Berkshires has to offer! The space Our home is in the Mountain Grove community in Becket, across the road from 100 acre Shaw Pond. The cottage is conveniently located adjacent to the community parking lot and clubhouse with parking for 3 cars. The main floor includes a generous kitchen, bathroom, dining room, living room, sun porch, and the primary bedroom. Enjoy beautiful views of the pond from the kitchen and sun porch. The second floor has 2 additional private bedrooms and a larger open area at the top of the stairs with a full-size bed. Out the back door and down a set of stairs is a patio and grill, overlooking the yard and across the road to Shaw Pond. We have a disc golf basket and basketball hoop in the backyard for close range practice. The yard isn't large, but it's still fun! Route 8 is a busy secondary road, so there is road noise and truck traffic depending on the day. High-speed internet has finally arrived in Becket! Our home is equipped with the fastest fiberoptic connection available for easy streaming or remote work. One of the upstairs bedrooms has a desk, 2 monitors, and a docking station. Or maybe don't work! Enjoy movies or binge watch a series on our 60" smart TV in the living room. Across the road from the community clubhouse is the private beach. There is a roped swimming area with a raft and also a dock where you can fish. Our stand up paddleboard and 3 kayaks are available for use by renters. Guest access Guests will have access to our first and second floors, the yard, and Mountain Grove community beach. The basement level of the cottage and sheds are kept locked and not available for use. Other things to note Dish soap and hand soap are Mrs. Meyer's products. Shampoo, conditioner, and body wash are from Ginger Lily Farms Botanicals - vegan, cruelty free, paraben and sulfate free.
