The antique colonial is set up as a side-by-side duplex with private apartment occupying the front 1/2 of house & the owner's unit in the back with a separate driveway entrance & door. A gas-powered grill is ready for grilling. When the awning is removed mid-fall, the space is blanketed in Edison lights for evening charm right through fall. The built-in seating around the firepit is calling for late-night smores, cocktails and conversation. Heated pool is open seasonally, please inquire about open & close dates. The kitchenette & lounge: The kitchenette offers a stocked coffee & tea station, an apartment-sized refrigerator/freezer, a beverage cooler with water, a toaster oven/air fryer, a microwave/convection oven, a dinette for two (2), and a popcorn maker with all the fixings for fresh snacks. The lounge area is a great place to enjoy your morning coffee and a conversation with a dining table for four (4) plus two leather club chairs. This space is ideal to set up a laptop and grab a video meeting. The Netflix & Chill room: U-shaped sectional with tons of feather throw pillows and large-screen TV where everyone in your party has room to relax and watch a movie. Need extra sleep space? Extra pillows, blankets & linens, privacy lock allow you to make a queen-sized set up. The sitting parlor: With two side chairs and an antique but surprisingly comfortable couch, enjoy a formal tea and conversation with your travel companions or enjoy the morning news with your coffee on the corner TV. The writer’s bedroom (upstairs): Indulge in a luxurious sleeping experience with a king-sized bed with cotton linens and seasonal down comforter. Relax quietly or enjoy the jumbo TV from the integrated sitting area with loveseat and coffee table. Guarantee yourself a restful night's sleep while traveling with blackout curtains, a noise machine, temperature control (both heating & central air), and optional soundproofing window inserts. Additionally, a spacious closet provides storage for your belongings, and includes spare linens, a pack-and-play, and an ironing set. The reader’s bedroom (upstairs): Settle into the reading nook with your favorite book before retiring to the queen-sized bed with down pillows, seasonal down comforter, cotton linens and an extra plush mattress. A TV is hidden behind the double doors when it is time to relax. The coziest and most romantic space in the house. Guest bathroom (upstairs): This luxurious marble bathroom with dual-head shower and integrated bench calls for a relaxing shower. Ample bath towels, hand towels, face towels and Beekman 1802 Shampoo, Conditioner, Lotion and Body Wash are all provided. Guest access Self-check in with private entrance and parking. Private space includes two bedrooms + bath upstairs, and the sitting room, living room and kitchenette downstairs. Shared space includes the pool & patio, which is dedicated for your use but visible from both units. The apartment shares interior walls with the owners’ unit on both floors. Other things to note The property is a hub location so street traffic and the occasional plane and train can be heard. The windows are original with beautiful wavy glass. Bedroom windows all open BUT do not stay open, as counterweights are defunct. We ask that you do not leave the windows open as window can slam shut unexpectedly. Central Air keeps the bedrooms cool. The bedrooms and bathroom are located on the second floor. The antique wood flooring features some raised thresholds between rooms. Therefore, this home may not be suitable for guests with mobility issues. The four fireplaces in the living rooms and bedrooms are not operational so we ask that you kindly do not start any fires in them.
