Treetop Cabin
The cabin is centrally located among world class hiking, biking, and breweries. There are virtually no mosquitoes, and our microclimate makes this area significantly cooler than Asheville. There’s a ton of cool stuff to check out, and a clean, contemporary space to come home to. The cabin was a former artists’ retreat, it has an open floor plan, high ceilings, crisp AC, and Netflix. Stock up on fresh, local beer, produce and moonshine and make some memories :) The space The space was originally an artists’ retreat, and we have the original guest book from the 80’s, with plenty of pages to leave your mark. It’s spacious, inviting and private. We share a driveway with some very cool, friendly neighbors. We have about 4 parking spaces in front of the cabin. The driveway is a little steep so be prepared. There’s a full kitchen with electric range and oven, fridge, blender, toaster, ice maker, microwave. We have washer and dryer, mini split AC and a window unit in the loft space. There is a queen size bed in the master bedroom, and two twins in the loft. We allow pets, and offer a crate. Wifi login and key code is provided upon booking. Cedar Mountain Canteen about a quarter mile down the road is a a must if you like beer, and it’s run by really lovely folks. DuPont, Cesar Head, and Pisgah offer so many hikes, and we are more than happy to offer recommendations on where to go. Guest access Guests are welcome to use the whole cabin, amenities, and parking spaces directly in front of the cabin. There are cleaning supplies, and detergent in the laundry nook. Unfortunately our Viking grill is waiting for parts for service. Other things to note We really love and care about these mountains and our neighbors and our biggest wish is that our guests treat the forest and local community with respect. Look out for the big, stainless steel mailbox on 276, with the Emry’s Dr street sign above it and turn right. The cabin is at the top of the driveway to the right. The driveway is steep and a bit rustic, so please be prepared for a short bit of incline on gravel. If you are uncomfortable driving up, there’s a parking space at the bottom of the driveway. We pay our cleaning and maintenance staff living wages and expect them to do top notch work. We ask that you clean their own dishes, any accidental spills, and take the trash out to the outdoor bin upon checking out.
