This tiny, off-grid cabin is situated on a peaceful, beautiful spot at a small, working livestock farm in the eastern Adirondacks. Your view looks west to Whiteface mountain etc. Enjoy the hum of nature from the porch that overlooks our pastures, and indulge in the small, traditional sauna and hot/cold outdoor shower that accompany your cabin. AuSable Brewery is just across the road, and Lake Champlain is just 1 mile away. Excellent local cycling, paddling, hiking, & boating abound. The space This cabin is on a quiet, private part of our busy, working farm. Your space is quite separate from the activity of the barnyard, though there may be livestock grazing nearby and the occasional farmer passing by to check on them, depending on where we are in our grazing rotations. This cabin is a top-notch place to relax and enjoy the season. At the end of a day of Adk exploration, what could be better than a hot outdoor shower, or traditional wood-fired sauna, a cozy robe, and a nice view? This off-grid cabin has solar-powered usb chargers and lights, and a propane range, grill and hot water. The toilet is a simple outhouse. A cooler is provided in the kitchenette for your cold storage, so pick up some ice in town if needed. The kitchenette is equipped with cookware, dishes, cutlery, and a pour-over coffee set-up. Our Farm, Mace Chasm Farm, has a small Farm Store on site attached to our Artisinal Butcher Shop, where we make delicious products from the livestock we raise here - sausages, smoked meats, fresh cuts, charcuterie, etc. We also carry a small, curated selection of cheese, produce, ferments, bread, crackers, and condiments in our store.
