A vintage farm house with parking available for multiple cars, ATV, UTV, snowmobile, or horse trailers. Horse boarding is possible. Please message me. The property is located on an ATV/UTV route & snowmobile trail. 1.5 miles to Mondovi, 3 miles to The Barn at Mirror Lake, & 11 miles to Barn Again Lodge. The area is known for great deer hunting. No hunting on site at this time. Public hunting nearby at BIG SWAMP WILDLIFE AREA. It is a spacious house to stay while visiting the Mondovi area. The space The home is slowly being updated as time and finances allow. Many new beds with gently used furniture. If you need additional room, the upstairs is rented under "Vintage 4 BDRM Country Home". If you rent the downstairs, 2 BDRM, no one will be able to rent the upstairs. The stairway door to the upstairs will be locked. The master downstairs bedroom is a large room that has a king-sized bed, and a glass table, that can be used to put your makeup on or as an office space if needed for a working vacation. This bedroom has an attached bathroom that has an old fashioned soaking tub. The second downstairs bedroom contains a queen size bed. This bedroom is quite small, but you can make it work for 2 people. A queen size sofa sleeper completes the sleeping arrangements downstairs. The 2nd bathroom downstairs has a large corner shower. The living room has a large screen TV with internet, enough seating for 8 and room to pull in a few more chairs. The dining room has a pub table that seats 8 with plenty of room to add an extra table and chairs. The kitchen has a portable dishwasher, microwave, coffee maker, crock pot, an electric fry pan, dishes and silverware to supply your cooking needs. The main entrance has steps leading into a entryway with a small coat closet, and access to the laundry room. A covered porch adorned with hanging baskets has a patio table for outside dining. A small fire pit is provided for your backyard entertainment as weather permits. Guest access There is 5 stairs to enter the house. You will have access to the main level. Other things to note The rental is located on a small working farm. The house and the barn are separated by a wide driveway. The animals housed in the barn and the outside pastures could be baby dairy calves, older dairy heifers, steers, beef cows, or horses, depending on our needs at the time. An electric fence surrounds one of the pastures, so be sure to tell all guests to NOT touch the fence. In the spring and fall large tillage and harvesting equipment could be using the driveway to access the fields in back of the farm. Twice a year the fields are spread with liquid manure, leaving the air smelling less than desirable to some. We call it "dairy air" or the "smell of money". You will be notified if it will be effecting your stay. The smell only lingers for a day or two, so most likely will be gone for any weekend stays. Someone will be going to the barn morning and evening to do chores. I hope you will enjoy the farm atmosphere.
