This cozy, 320 square foot primitive A-Frame cabin provides year-round sleeping accommodations for up to 4 people, sleeping on a Full XL mattress in the loft and two XXL camping cots with mattresses. Rocking chairs face a tiny wood stove, stocked with wood from the property. The well-insulated cabin stays warm through the deepest of Michigan winters. The space Outside the cabin, zero gravity chairs and hammocks surround a fire pit with grill. At night, watch fireflies light up the summer air or listen for the owls hooting at each other. The cabin is part of Detach Primitive, a ten unit retreat focused on creating outdoor spaces where guests can unplug from their hyperconnected lives. Two hand-pump wells are on the property for drinking water. Bathrooms are a short walk away and use an incinerator toilet or portajohn for waste. Firewood from the property is included in your stay. The cabin is primitive, meaning no electricity or running water. A lantern and battery-powered fairy lights will provide light inside the cabin. The 92-mile White Pine Trail runs alongside the property, providing incredible access to recreation during all four Michigan seasons, from biking and running to cross-country skiing. Guest access Access is hike-in, hike-out, or by bicycle from the White Pine Trail. It is approximately .75 miles from the parking lot to the cabin. Sleds and wagons are used to bring your gear onto the property. You have access to the cabin and the land surrounding it, your own private outdoor space with picnic table, fire pit and grill, as well as a 30 acre recreation space and quick access to the White Pine Trail for walking, biking, and adventures.
