At The Gathering House we honor the stories of the people who have lived life within these walls and we create space for the stories yet to come as you gather with friends and family. The space At The Gathering House you'll find everything you need to feel right at home. Here are just a few of the things we think you'll love: - An open layout that allows you and your guests to be together. - 4 bedrooms and sleeper sofa with enough room for 10 guests, plus an adjacent Guest House studio apartment that can be rented as well to accommodate an additional 4 guests. Search "The Guest House" on Airbnb to find the listing and check availability. - 3 full bathrooms (and a tankless water heater so you never run out of hot water!) - A beautiful dining room with gorgeous bay windows that let in tons of light. - A luxury kitchen, fully stocked with everything you need to host a family dinner or cook a big breakfast. - A cozy coffee bar and sitting area complete with an espresso maker, an assortment of teas and an ice maker for all kinds of creative drink making. - An amazing master suite that includes a corner shower, soaker tub and heated floors. - A Clubhouse hideout just for kids, complete with toys and games! - A bedroom reading nook for a quiet retreat. - An outdoor patio with a dining table for al fresco dining. - A firepit for enjoying the peaceful Kansas evenings, plus everything you need for roasting smores! - A porch swing with a view of the beautiful tree lined street and old houses which make Winfield so stunning in the fall. The Gathering House is the perfect home base to discover what makes Winfield and the surrounding area so great! From a heritage rich in music and arts, to fabulous food and drink spots, we think you'll find plenty to do if you can convince yourself to leave the house! Guest access The Gathering House is the main house that sits on the property. You'll have use of the house, as well as the brick patio and firepit. There is a small locked utility room with an outdoor entrance that is occasionally accessed by the host. The Guest House sits just behind the main house and is a separate listing. Please be good neighbors to your fellow guests. Other things to note Work Crews: Work crews are welcome guests if they follow our house rules and treat the home with care. If you are booking on behalf of a work crew you MUST state this at the time of booking. Hosting Events: Hosting events at The Gathering House is allowed (baby showers, birthday parties, etc..) However, you must state your intent to host an event before booking. Events that are loud and/or disrespectful of the property and neighbors will NOT be tolerated. Check-in/Check-out Times: An early check-in/late check-out can sometimes be arranged. There is a fee of $40 per request. Just ask and we are happy accommodate if possible!
