The Brook Cottage is nestled back in the woods alongside Mosquito Brook, approximately 5 miles from downtown Hayward. You will find yourself a relaxing and peaceful retreat where you can unplug and cast a line in the water. A few big brook trout have been caught for dinner! This cottage was originally built for Deep Wood Resort in Cable, WI in the 1940's and moved to it's new location in the 1980's. Through out the years many have enjoyed hanging their hat at this cozy Northwoods getaway. The space This space is really ideal for an outdoorsy couple or small family. Guest access The cottage is located near the Birke Trail where you can ski, hike or ride bike. Also nearby are ATV trails (there is plenty of space for parking a trailer). The Hayward, Seeley and Cable area offer a long list of fun and entertaining things to do. The Namekagon River is just a short walk or drive away where you can fish, canoe, kayak and tube. We are not far from many area lakes so bring your boat! Other things to note Your hosts, Nick and Lynda, live next door with their dog Shiloh. He’s a friendly yellow lab who at times likes to venture by to patrol the yard for bunnies!
